And your excuses, while all are factual, are just that, excuses. Other teams, like Duke seem to able to play well and blow out their cupcakes, while we struggle every year with that. Notice the players Duke lost last year and how they are playing this year, how do you explain that? Telling fans to go root for UL means you have nothing else to debate with.
Right on. Agree completely.

If you ever played basketball I am sure it was in the church league. You have no idea what a good offensive set is. You are offensive when you post on this board. That is about the only thing you know about the word offensive.
Little guy, don't fly too high now, because the higher you fly the more it will hurt when you hit the ground. You think way too highly of yourself and so full of it, you must have trouble getting that huge head thru doors.

Then please tell us what a good offensive set is, oh wise one. All you do on this board is attack other posters and add nothing substantive to a post. Napolean syndrome?

Feeling a little butt hurt are we? I see you finally came out of your mommy's basement. Did she let you come upstairs to watch cartoons?

I'm also tired of hearing the narrative of how Cal always has them ready in March. With all the NBA talent he's had, which he has said he will take talent over experience everytime, he has had clunkers to end the season that has been reminiscent of his November early season losses. Each loss has been attributed to his anemic offense.
1) WV was a horrible loss with the studs we had.
2) UConn we couldn't throw it in the ocean. I won't even get into the Kevin Ollie edition.
3) Indiana he got bent over by a coach that's constantly made fun of on this board.
4) Kansas State, not Kansas, but Kansas State.
5) Auburn, this ain't football
6) He looked like a deer in headlights against Wisconsin. That team should have waxed the floor with Wisconsin.
7) I like Cal, but he isn't above criticism. He has left a ton of meat on the bone.

Cal is so bad that he has the most wins in college basketball the last ten years. Sorry to burst your bubble but we have one of the best coaches in college basketball and I for one am glad he is our coach.

To your last point, Calipari has admitted as much.

The major positive however is that he puts us in position to win it all almost every year. The hope is that his guys land the plane one more time over the next decade. I think the upcoming endorsement paradigm could help us keep some guys around in that second/third tier.

Now this we can agree on. I think Cal is capable of even more.

Neither do I, but you and others always mention Duke when they struggle or lose to a Lehigh, so which is it, do you care or not?

I hardly ever talk about Duke. But since you broach the subject would you rather lose to Lehigh in March or Evansville in November? That's what I thought.

The group you are a part of is oddly similar to liberal media....on a witch hunt at all times.

Then why do almost all top 10 teams blow out their cupcakes while we struggle each and every game now? Mighty Evansville lost by 17 points last night.
I can see a fluke game here or there where we aren't ready to play but, it's every single game anymore. Not just this season either. Gotta wonder what is going on with this.
And that whole "go cheer for Louisville stuff" is tired and worn out. Makes you look like a total moron to even suggest it. Like no one is allowed to be critical on a damned messageboard??? Gimmie a 'effin break.
I know I’m new hear but “every single game”. The Cats beat MSU and sparked Eastern.

I am offering a reason, not an excuse. My reasoning is fact based which is why it is a reason and not an excuse.

Not at all, I am worried about UK basketball and I can see and hear fan apathy, and it worries me. Everything is there for you to see it too, but you refuse. Fans are just not as involved in it as they use to be. Once you lose the enormous fan support we have had over the years, then we become just another basketball team.

Also, I do not want the fan base to turn against Cal like they did against Tubby the last three years he was here. Cal is perfect coach for UK, but he is not perfect and he needs to change a few things. Many fans perceive that Cal cares more about getting as many kids in the pros as he can, then he cares about winning titles for UK. Is that true? I don’t know, but if a person believes a perception, then it is true to them, no matter what you say to them.

Something has gone wrong the last 5 years. That is what I and many others believe, you choose to believe nothing is wrong, nothing is slipping. Good for you, we will have to agree to disagree.

This is a fair post while I don't agree with your assertion. I think there is some logic behind it.

1. Our fan base is very demanding and rarely satisfied in general. I am though.

2. Cal does want to get kids to the NBA because it tells his story and helps him recruit.

3. A lot has changed in 5 years....and a lot of teams either got caught and punished nor not punished- we were not one of them participating and I salute Cal for that.

4. I don't agree with assertion of fan apathy. People love Cal and BBN. Ticket sales and attendance are down in every sport nearly everywhere....that again is fact based. I went to father and son camp this summer, trust me...people love Cal and this team, the vast majority do. Every camp including father daughter was sold out and jam packed.

5. Cal has done nothing to draw criticism at the levels he does on this board. We are in it nearly every year. The past 5 years, FF, Rnd 32, Elite 8, Sweet 16, Elite 8. Recruiting misses because of the aforementioned have probably cost us in the past 3-4 years but Cals biggest enemy is the meteoric start that he had to his career at UK, the Wisconsin game and the recruiting scandals, nothing that he has changed or not changed about how he does things.

Like I said, we will just have to disagree on these things. That said, you are one of the best posters on the board, always respectful and debate with facts as you see them. I appreciate that very much.

Well thank you sir. I can come off the wrong way sometimes but it is passion more than anything. I care about the program and measure Cal on a lot of other things outside of just the game.

That was very kind of you to say. I respect all opinions as long as they aren't trashing the kids or our coach.

Have a good day!

What a moronic post wisconsin had the best offense in the country and one of the best offenses ever auburn was the hottest team in the country and was a whistle away from the title game kansas state and UConn were both lost due to free throws and the Indiana game was lost because our bigs were embarrassing all year

Moronic? We had trouble scoring against these teams, like always. Who the hell mentioned the defense?

The defense has about always been good enough to win. The offense, on the other hand, has cost us more times than I care to remember. I'd go as far as saying if weren't for the offensive woes, Cal would be in a league of his own.

Anyone can be whatever they want. If I don't agree, I'll say it.

If my comment about 70 miles west is tired and old, so is the constant moaning and groaning about our program...that is beyond critical, it points towards a person that doesn't care for our coach or the players he has on the team and sorry, I'm not that kind of fan 5 games into a season.

You're good. Most people can't tell what a person cares about in his/her heart from a few posts on a messageboard.
And yeah, that old "go cheer for UofL" nonsense is a worn out and tired cliché.
