I meant to ask this over the weekend, but the official attendance vs Ohio St was only 89,759.

That just seems low considering we went over 90k five times in 2016. Have seats at Memorial Stadium been removed?

By the sounds of things on Twitter Saturday, there could have been several thousand people that were too s&*tfaced to even find the stadium.

We went to tailgate in the lots under the viaduct. I asked how many actually attend the game. The answer was not many. At night games and especially since the game was over at the 1:36 mark of the first qtr, the booze was flowing quite heavily

Talked to a guy I know well who has a weekly tailgate west of champions under the viaduct. I posed the question to him about tailgating/vs going to the game. He told me that this was probably the most that stayed at the tailgates vs going to the game. He said that it was estimated that there was roughly 10,000 people tailgating down there and around 50% watched the game from tailgate area. So I guess there's that. Accurate? No clue

I would assume quite a few of them knew what the outcome would be and chose to have fun outside the stadium, which no doubt was much less gloomy than inside. ;)

I've only missed one game due to being too drunk a few years ago, and I hated myself for it

True, but if you already had tickets why wouldn't you go into the stadium? If the game isn't looking so hot then go back out to taulgate.

As someone who was at the game, the stadium was completely packed for the first half. Surprisingly still almost 90% full in the third quarter.

I wasn't at the game, but a friend of mine who went thought it was packed too. Which is why I'm wondering how we didn't hit the 90k mark?

Absolutely. The stadium was full. In fact, our seats in north stadium had two people sitting in them, I had room for about half an *** cheek. The old geezer next to me had his stadium seat about half an inch from my seat number. I hate those seats with a white hot passion.

Depends where youre at.
North and south stadium suck. Always packed.
Moos needs to remove seats
One of my favorite reasons for staying when NU isn't doing well is how much more room there is in the end zone :p I have to say though, it was packed at the start and it stayed fairly well packed into the 4th quarter.

Those stadium seats are the only way to guarantee your spot. Gotta get it on your number though.

What can I say? I have a fat ***. Just get there early and stake out your claim with your own seat :p

I like them because it keeps the fatties from using my spot and from the peoples behind me's knees

Our gate was closed in West Stadium so we had to enter the gate in the middle lower part of the stadium and I was in line for 30 minutes and trickled in my pants twice before getting to the gate. The 105-year-old woman scanned my ticket and said I was at the wrong gate and I said no I’m not, my gate is closed and I’m going to piss my pants. A bunch of other people said the same thing so they let all of us in without checking our tickets and I bet many other people got in the same way. Maybe that changes the total number in attendance?

Because the seats are so close together! They shoehorn so many in there one cannot even stand up to cheer. I'm not going back. Sitting in my recliner is so much better.

Then why have tickets if you're not going to go to the game?
