With the start of a new year we get the Barron's panel stock picks for 2026. Mario Gabelli is still recommending the Atlanta Braves (Holdings) ..... BATRA or BATRK.
I owned the shares years ago when it was a "tracking stock". I could never figure out exactly what it was that I owned shares of. Then awhile back I gave my shares away for our church pledge and have held another 'play' stock since then.
Mario got me again. So I sold the other stock -- it was an air taxi Uber like service -- and bought back into the Braves.
Note - the company now is a regular corporation.
The point of all this being -- for other posters on our Atlanta Braves Topic Thread I expect you to treat me with the deference I deserve as a part owner of the team.
BTW -- BATRK = ~ $40 / share .... or .... BATRA (voting shares) = ~ $44. Gabelli thinks the team / company will be taken over by some billionaire for ~ $60 / share or more. We'll see.
