Alright guys I’m moving to Jefferson, GA in a few weeks. It's a less than 20 minute drive from Athens. I need all the restaurant and entertainment recommendations. The board's culinary and cultural savviness shouldn’t disappoint.

I spent my childhood years in Jefferson and that is a great party of the county. Back then (late 80's and early 90's) it was a small town because the family that owned the textile mill in town worked hard to keep it from becoming another suburb of Atlanta. I drove thru there last year and was amazed how much it has grown.

Noted. Only place I’ve eaten downtown during a visit was The Last Resort Grill. It was good.

Yeah, it's grown from about 3k to just under 15k in the last 20 years.

Your post has made me run down memory lane today. We lived just up the street from the city park with deep memories at that park, bowling alley and Hurricane Shoals.
