At what point does Quickley start garnering SEC POTY consideration?

Nick still disappears at times. Not saying IQ doesn't disappear but back to back 21 point games, plus tonight's performance definitely has IQ in the picture.

Nick has played his A$$ off this year to garner that attention. He may seem like he's disappeared in games cause our guards can't seem to get him the ball when it's there. IQ deserves as much but he needs to stop passing up 3 point shots that are there, but I believe Cal has a lot of say so on that needing to drive the ball more to get to the free throw line.

Since scoring 9 points in that Ohio State game, IQ has played 16 games. He's averaged 18.5 in those contests. He's scoring at a similar pace as Jamal Murray and Malik Monk. That's pretty incredible.

I lost my mind on that 3rd 3 he hit in the 2nd half from the top of the key, he was way out 27-28 feet and swished it!

IQ in double digits every SEC game and 18.5ppg on 43% 3FG. I'd say he is for sure. His overall FG% isn't great though.

I'd give it to Nick and IQ is front runner next year if he comes back...

The only reason I can think of, besides subjective conjecture about practice to game translations, is that Cal wanted to maintain the confidence of the freshman. I’m sure it was clear Whitney couldn’t play in practice. To keep him from totally checking out, you toss him a bone like starting. Quickley is the insurance for when he doesn’t pan out.

After tonight it will come down to who plays best the last 4 games.

22 points in the 2nd half v Florida is unreal for IQ.
