Ok, fair point, I hate a select few Catholics, don’t condemn all Catholics because of it though, truly do hate the catholic religion that was pushed on me at a younger age
Would be interested in knowing exactly what that means, but this isn’t the time or place.

The catholicism I love is often condemned by a majority of American Catholics around me - you know, the kind of catholicism of Pope Francis.

I imagine the person you're responding to dislikes the majority types who've painted themselves into a strange corner by hating their own Pope... 🤷🏻‍♂️
What do you see as the difference between the two? He has made comments / done things which the media can use to try to ruffle feathers or push a narrative, but I am unaware of any statements / actions which would be contrary to fundamental catholic teachings.

OSU by default.

I utterly despise Pedo State and hope they lose every game; that program should have been burned to the ground.

I strongly dislike Texass for all the right reasons; the Whorns can suck it.

The Catholics and Touchdown Jesus are not my thing either.

That leaves Bucky.

Never align against Jesus. You will lose, every time. Choose your words more carefully next time.

I get the hate for Sandusky, Paterno, and all others involved, but why hate the school today? This all happened years ago. Paterno has been dead for nearly 13 years. Is there anyone still remaining at that school who was involved with the coverup?

Exactly. Tell that to 60ish % of American Catholics lol. Because they seem to want the faith to be something like it has been throughout history at times, which is an abomination.

Exactly. PSU is tied for my second B1G that I cheer for with OSU since they were our fellow rebellious covid buddy. Huskers first and foremost though obviously.

Looks like there was something lost in translation. The teachings are the teachings, that hasn’t changed, nor should it. What’s the abomination? Because I don’t think Francis has changed anything.

1. Notre Dame
2. Tie between PSU/OSU

**** Texass.
I think we’re mostly deciding based on whose fan base is the most insufferable. personally, for most of us, that’s gonna be Texas every time. It’s been a long time since any of our skirmishes with Penn State have been personal. We share a mutual hate of Michigan with Ohio State.

I believe we’ll be mildly satisfied as long as anyone but Texas wins.

For me is the arrogant and naive status of the big. Remember Covid when NU said they wanted to play. Then the pitch forks were all sharpened about kicking NU out of the league for the audacity of such a thing. Led by Desmond Howard and at the time commish Warren. Penn st should have at least had a few suspended seasons but the media almost went sympathetic on PSU. That is by far the worse scandal. But there has been many more by schools. And none of those scandals resulted in a call to be kicked out of the league.

A million years ago when I was in HS playing football we had a playoff game against Humphrey St. Francis. Our school bus pulled up to their school next to the church with the giant spire, dead silence on the bus - and a guy on our team uttered these words, "Boys, I don't think God is on our side today." It brought the house down. We won.

I think there are still a lot of PSU fans who have serious blinders on about Joe Paterno being totally innocent in the whole deal - so it's not so much the school that a lot of people dislike, it's their fans (I live close to PSU country - I have met many such fans)

Eh. Nebraska fans would do the same if it was Tom and came to light post championships 🤷🏻‍♂️

I won't say I like OSU but I dislike them much less than the other 3. Top 4 reasons below.
1. They were sort of with us during the covid year and didn't talk **** about kicking us out of the conference because we dared say we wanted to play football.
2. I spent a fair amount of time in Ohio for work last year and anticipate the same for this year, so I'm buddies with some OSU fans.
3. They almost always curb stomp Iowa.
4. Their fans are generally less arrogant than Notre Dame, Texas or Michigan.

I can't pull for ut, osu, nd or psu...
so I guess it's said to pull for the conferance your in...so I guess that would be osu and psu...
then I'm not sure between them 2. I guess psu cause the are not part of the big 10 darling teams..osu and mich..
then again if nd said they were joining the B1G, and make us 10 million more a year...idk....

Talk to anyone outside Nebraska about Lawrence Phillips. There are a lot of opinions formed about Dr. Tom’s handling.

I’m not comparing these to the tragedies at Penn State but just saying the opinions of LP handling are waaaaaay different than most views from TO supporters.

I don’t care too much. Would prefer Notre Dame. Had OSU +500 from the middle of the season and just hedged with Notre Dame at +325

Well he sure didn’t need him at the end of the season to help win the national title..

If you don’t know LP back round, then you wouldn’t understand why TO did what he’s been criticized for.

Penn State would be the best scenario. In the event that Rhule keeps this thing on track, it keeps Franklin at Penn State and removes the shot of Rhule ever considering his home team.

It’s also a Big Ten win which is good for the conference image. And I don’t see Penn State as turning into the monster that Ohio State and Texas would be with their NIL funds they can raise. Would be nice for each to take an L in the semis and temper their donors enthusiasm just a bit.
My thought as well. I also think it’s less likely that Rhule would want to take that job if they had just reached the mountain top with somebody else.

If they are still not able to get over the hump, and Rhule has lots of success at Nebraska then I think that door is more likely to be open for him to want to be their savior down the road.

Notre dame for sure. Freeman brought back gameday mass, their offense is fun to watch, the defense is smashmouth with a great secondary. I enjoy watching them and as another stated ready for an old school blue blood like Nebraska get back to the top.

OSU I could live with.

Penn State Nah.

Texas HECK NO.

KSU was stupid for making him walk. Johnson in not to his level. I've watched him the past 3 years, he's legit.

Yeah I don't think there's any way K-State finishes tied for 8th place in the Big 12 if Howard stays. Johnson is a media darling.

Agreed. I've always hated Notre Dame. I don't like Ryan Day. Penn State harbored a child molester and covered it up and there's an undeserved arrogance among their alumni that is very annoying. And nobody likes Texas.
