I wonder what kind of money FH will get to hire assistant coaches. With the reported 7/$25 million contract.......how far will Moos be willing to go above that to get top paid asst coaches here

Maybe Sadler gets fired and comes and joins him?

More likely he would make more being a assistant at Nebraska than the Head Coach a Southern Mississippi..

Plus he was a assistant under Hoiberg at Iowa St and he was a assistant under Bill Self at Kansas..

That would be ironic. But I don't think anyone would have a problem with it. Definitely something that doesn't happen often.

Why would Doc take a demotion to assistant coach? He's doing a great job at Southern Miss after the mess he inherited. He makes $350k at Southern Miss, that's more than Ryan Held makes, I can't see us paying more than that to an assistant bball coach.

Depends on if he thought it would be fun to get the band back together and have some fun at a familiar place. Might parlay into a better hc gig. Age?? I am going to have to look it up. Ive' forgotten

That would be his decision to make... Heard last week it’s a possibility that Hoieberg might hire him in some capacity of the basketball program..

I thought I heard a scam artist named David Salinas took most of Doc's life savings around 8 years ago, so he might have to work a while longer.

If Doc wanted to be an assistant, he would have followed Hoiberg to Chicago, or left Southern Miss when the NCAA sanctions hit them. He much prefers being a head coach.
