Assistant Coaches

Does Cal keep these guys on the same short leash as the players during games. They help recruit the #1 freshman class but seems like they are shut down when it comes to the Portal. Have to wonder what these coaches are thinking watching Cal turn this program into a disaster and not being able to do anything about it. Do they just sit back and say yes sir Cal we don't need any of this top talent in the portal or do they walk into his office saying WTF are you doing. I couldn't just sit back and watch it happen without saying anything.

I think all of them are about the $$$$ like Cal. I believe Chin cared at one time but just gave up. I’m sure they talk among themselves behind Cal about how terrible of a game coach he really is.

Chin clearly doesn’t care anymore. Being brought to tears over a win is a sure sign.

Generally speaking, I totally get where you are coming from, people that are semi successful in the sports world like assistant coaches don't talk bad about their coach. It would get around then you no longer assistant coach here or anywhere else for that matter. Maybe that's what you do but I'm sure they do not. They have a job to do. They are making our kids better. We just haven't had the horses the last 3 years. We will have them this year.

Will wait to hear from someone with behind-the-scenes access to the every day interaction of coaches and their daily work load. Until then it’s probably not wise to assume that none of them give a crap, and they’re just laying poolside sipping on an Arnold Palmer and counting their money instead of focusing on their obligations.
