For everyone here saying play Askew at 2G, you think Cal is going to play a 6 foot unathletic, non defending, lacking lateral quickness, unable to attack the rim player at 2G? Do you even watch UK basketball?
Well he played that exact type of player 30+ minutes a game at the PG slot. Really not that much of a difference.

Truth is, he wasn’t good enough to play at any position for UK. Definitely not as a primary ball handler. Cal even said he was going to play him off the ball.

So, yeah, he absolutely played the “6 foot, unathletic, non defending, lacking lateral quickness, unable to attack the rim player at 2G”. So, do you even watch Kentucky Basketball?!

Theres a difference in playing the 2G position that way and trying to force your best option at PG. If you think Mintz was the PG this year you're wrong.

Ummm am I?! Mintz looked a hundred times better at point than Askew. He had over a 7:1 assist to TO ratio the games he played PG for us. Cal himself said he was taking Askew off the ball. You said he wouldn’t do that, when he absolutely did do that. He did just that.

So you think askew was going to be shoe horned into the offense again? Cute called that transfer a mile away. He always guarded the 1 position unless switched whenever he played, feel free to check the tape. HE was the "defacto PG" all year. It was a constant P.O.E on this board. How'd you miss that?

Wtf are you talking about?! What does it matter what position he guarded?! I said off the ball, which Cal absolutely did and said he was going to do. He was the PG until he moved Mintz over.
