^^^but take my advice, start in Canada and not Mexico. Start with the Canadian beer. If you start with tequila shots, you’ll never make it around the world.

Riviera Maya between Cancun and Playa. High of 80 low of 70... every day. Cheap flight to Cancun.. hop a shuttle to your destination or rent a car. Don't even consider going into Cancun (like, ever). Take your pick of incredible resorts or VRBO a place somewhere like Akumal or Tulum (south of Playa). Snokel in Akumal bay for $10 and swim with the turtles.

Helen, GA is cool and can be done on the cheap. Drive there, get a VRBO, wine tour and outdoor stuff.

If you haven't been, check out London. Flight from Jackson and very basic hotel will cost about $2,200 for four nights in late March (see www.europeandestinations.com). Total cost for 2 people should be $3,500 or less if you don't go crazy on food and drink. Get the London Pass and check out the Churchill War Rooms, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, The Tower of London and the London Eye. Book a tour of Parliament. The National Gallery is free and well worth a visit. Join the big crowd to see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace.

It will almost definitely rain off and on but temperatures should be mild. London is very walkable and Uber is convenient and affordable. Did this trip with wife and teenage daughters in December 2017 and everyone had a good time. We ate at mid-range restaurants (fish and chips, e.g.) and spent less than $6k all-in. That was for four people, with two hotel rooms for four nights.

You can always count on the pack. Many thanks for all the suggestions. I have recommendations from PCH to Mexico to Bora Bora to Spain to Telluride/Yellowstone to Canada to Iceland. Awesome

I'm like a lot of you and travel for business. In the past I've done Banff, Whistler, California and Napa, Greenbrier, many Carribean islands and Hawaii, Vegas numerous times, Boston/New York.

This past year was lucky enough to play Whistling Straits, Torrey Pines and Spy. Looking forward to going to Streamsong first week in May. had never heard of it but it looks cool. Also took the family to Beaver Creek for week of snow skiing.

I got a lot of research to do!!!!

epcot, disney springs, and the resorts are more for the adults. Although. I've had some killer food and beverages at the Yak and Yetti in the animal kingdom. They make their own beer there, and it's actually pretty good.

My top 10 in the disney area for food and drinks.

1. Shula's can't have a better steak. we also do this when we go down to universal or the Orlando area in general.
2. Yak and Yetti
3. Trader Sam's
4. Hangar Bar
5. Ragland Road
6. The Edison
7. Chef Arts
8. Chefs De France
9. Rose and Crown
10. Via Napoli

go by the polynesian and get you a dole whip with rum.

it can be fun when you go to disney as an adult without taking kids. My wife enjoys it. I enjoy the drinks and whenever the wife is happy.

I know you said no to beaches, but St. Simons Island in GA is a great place to spend with your spouse for several days. Stay at the King and Prince (owned by the Sturdivant family). Many historic places there and nearby (Christ Church, Fredricksburg Colony, Sea Island, Jekyll Island) and great golf courses and seafood.

It may not be warn enough yet, but my wife and I enjoyed a little trip this year to South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse, visited Sturgis, Deadwood, and then went on to Montana to see the Custer Battlefield. Three days not including travel there and great memories.

Spend a little more money and take her to Paris. You can fly direct from Atlanta on United or Delta. Take a day trip (using Viator) to Normandy OR to Giverny (Monet's home and gardens). See the Louvre and Musee d' Orsay. And enjoy the food. We never had a bad meal in Paris. My favorite restaurant is La Closerie d' Lilas on the Left Bank (Hemingway, Lenin, Picasso, Charlie Chaplin all hung out there).

Fredricksburg TX is a great place to visit and while there see Salado, N of Austin. Maybe you can catch the bluebonnets.

I see someone else posted Helen GA. I second that with Dahlonega added.

If you have enough time do a Rhine or Danube River small boat cruise.

Just GO and make memories.

Can’t speak personally but good friends of ours went to Iceland last year for their anniversary. They loved it, flew from Nashville to Boston to Iceland. He said it was reasonably priced and very memorable.

That sounds very familiar. My daughter and her husband took that same trip last year from Nashville to Iceland. They had a great time.
