What is a good entry strategy for XOM, BP, COP, etc? It's been tempting to get into these company's but the bottom keeps dropping out of them. Any thoughts pack?

The entry point for XOM is now...mid to upper 30’s. It is diversified and has loads of cash. That said, I am not suggesting to go all in on oil because it is really volatile. Do not start trying to pick the bottom of stock prices. Do that, and you will lose your britches! I also like COP and OXY. Schlumberger is a blue chip oil services company that has really tanked....risky but high reward, trading around 16.

i bought GUSH in the gutter yesterday. if you got the balls 3xETF could pay out big in a few years - the market will rule in the future and we won't be flying planes with fairy farts any time soon. If you're medium risk then Oxy could be a good play. Low risk go with CVX, XOM, and then BP in this order.

Oil

I don't like oil short term. Markets rallied some early today. Oil lost some momentum late.

Long term, it's a good point of entry. But we still have a long way to go here with opec=, Russia and US. Plus you'll start seeing some impact on global demand when DOE report hits Wednesday...and the one a week from Wednesday I think will be worse.
