I mean no disrespect, but he averaged 3 ppg off the bench at a SWAC school. Hoping he's the next LeBron but I'm going to guess that isn't likely.

It’s absurd that On3 had it ranked 11th in the country a couple weeks ago. They’re claiming we’ve landed five 4* transfers, and apparently 5 PPG and a couple rebounds is good enough for four stars by their standards

Basketball is a third class sport at State. Enthusiasm for it is dead. Rick Ray put it in a coma and the transfer portal pulled the plug.

Hasn't always been that way. My dad used to say, "MSU may not have a great basketball culture, but they also don't have an absence of one either". There's truth there but definitely been declining. AND......it's not helped by the lack of basketball in the state of MS lately. The Jackson scene used to be pretty good but it's just gone now.

I'd say historically football was the third class sport. It's come to the forefront lately out of necessity.
