Wasn’t it you the other day who said what you heard on the podcast about hagans was disturbing and you were questioning your defense of him? What changed? Not trying to be an *** I’m just interested to know why all these peoples opinions changed on hagans when everything that’s been speculated has been verified to a certain degree?
Unfortunately, Ashton is rapidly becoming a poster child for cost/benefit analysis.

LOL.. I was being serious... I was most definitely in on the arguments so I am at wrong also. I sometimes forget that arguing and loading threads with the feuds isnt fair for everyone else having to read it.
I think there is a lot at play here. UK fans turn on one another when things don’t go well because one group becomes upset with breakdowns by players or coaches and the other who are just as frustrated believe there is no room to criticize any aspect of the program and attack fellow fans. Everyone is upset about the same thing. Hagans actions the detriment to the team and now the uncertainty. You just have two groups one who direct their ire at Ashton and the other group who are pissed about Ashton but to them it’s more reasonable to call out fans. No fan on this forum caused the situation we are in and when a player goes south I think it’s fair to criticize. I mean UK basketball is big business and there is a 100 yo tradition that is bigger than any one player. The days of personal accountability are over. It’s everyone else’s fault even those who have nothing to do with a persons actions.
thats the dont rock the boat group..... pointing it at the players or coaches might rock the boat but pointing the anger towards other fans wont affect the season...

Well, Ashton isn't dazzling anyone with his intelligence, these days. We'll probably get the death penalty again over this, while Kansas, Duke, Arizona etc skate. Thanks Ashton.

I think it is COMPLETELY irresponsible to bring up point shaving and agents with zero shred of proof. Period. So yeah, I think you are acting nuts.

and I know what you want to post... let me stop you ..... my posting asking the questions is not PROOF of insanity.... you might want to use it as evidence....... but thats no different than using Hagans turnovers that looked bad and his snap chat as evidence that something like point shaving or agents could be happening. Guess I should be a UK player... then I could do whatever I want and you wouldnt attack me.
In the end........... you just dont want to rock the boat. so defending UK's season at all costs is what you put as a priority. I'm not like that and thats ok. whether you think its ok or not... we dont have to think alike ..

I posted in another thread after the UT game fiasco about an observation I had regarding Hagans during the Vandy game . In summary I told the story about when I was in the players 'friends and family' section for the Vandy game which is floor level in the endzone. There were two couples sitting next to me and one guy kept saying "Hag" over and over when play was on our side of the floor. Hagans was very aware of him and winked at him at least three or four times after play stopped.
No big deal really but it seemed odd and lacking judgement given the circumstances. This may go on at floor level all the time but I wouldn't know. None of the other players were interacting with those in that section while the game was going on. Just Hagans.
Here's what I didn't mention in the other thread about those two couples. They reaked of pot. Again no big deal but that one guy and Hagans are definitely close. I'm not suggesting Hagans is a pot dealer or that he even smokes it but things seem to be adding up that suggest a pattern of careless and bizarre behavior. This video makes me wonder about him even more.

UK doing an investigation obviously asked questions in case it was something BAD. are they horrible for investigating?

It was above. It's been addressed before. I do think the suspension was because of the repost and to send a message to recruits in this day and age this sort of thing won't be tolerated.
If he's not back for the start of the tournament then he's not coming back. Could be that UK sees a compliance issue and is getting ahead of it. Maybe it pissed Cal off he reposted it after the issues Hagans has had. Either way, it's not an issue until it is. And UK says the original video has been addressed, so it's been addressed. I don't see what good comes from pounding the drum. If the problem grows it'll be pounded then.

That is 1,000% CORRECT!!! If this happened to ANY other Blue Blood player, our fans would NEVER let them hear the end of it. They would constantly bring this back up for years and years. So, anybody on here trying to justify this stupidity is just hypocritical. This is NOT a good look for us or Cal. I dont care who's money it is, it's just dumb and irresponsible from Hagans and gives every other fan base in the country ammunition against us.
