You are an idiot and if you are in fact a "Burns Fan" you should lose you freedom of speech pass.

What good would it do to put in a freshman QB and get hammered out there? It can potentially destroy confidence, produce bad habits, get him injured, derail maturing process...Its ok to get him some playing time in blow out game situations but that should be it. Any Burns fan with actual knowledge of the game knows that the D is playing well while the O tries to catch up. This past Friday, both sides of the ball had their struggles. We are starting some new faces and penalties are killing us but over time we will get better!
When your 6'5 DE is one of the fastest kids on the team, you are gonna struggle in the passing game. We have some talented players making some plays for us right now, and some kids in the system that will be here to help.
we dont need people like you barking about transferring, its called character and resilience, these kids, coaches have it!

Not to get in the middle of the love fest here, but they "hired outside" a couple years ago and see where that went? Devine is the man for the job, he loves those kids and wants nothing but the best out of them ....And he is the ONLY coach there that I remember as of late, that had reached out and gotten the youth leagues involved and start them young learning the Bulldog way! Showing up occasionally and hanging around a few minutes does not constitute involvement, nor does the occasional camp like some have done....... There was one that wouldn't even let them take pictures on the Burns field, but Devine wants them playing on the field every Saturday and involves the youth in many things...... Highly respect him and what he has already done there and am tickled that one day my son may play for him....

Wow....take your son, and I don't care who it is, and leave our program now. We don't need anyone with your attitude near our program. What kind of politics was in play when Beam was here? Absolutely zero. I know, because I was in the locker room every single day. Beam didn't play politics, and never will. I guess you're a Clinton Clown who thinks everyone deserves a participation trophy instead of "earning" their own. I know Devine personally, and he will not play politics. I know a way I can figure out who you are. The next game I go to, I'll just look in the stands when the National Anthem is playing and see who is sitting down, being disrespectful of our country. If the kids don't want to be a part of our program. Then I don't want them there. Winning isn't easy, it takes a lot of hard work. If the "3" star players want to take the easy way out, that will do nothing but hurt them in their future. What will happen when they have a boss they don't like. Just quit the job? Go find another one. It's not that easy. You can't get to the top of the mountain unless you feel the soreness of the climb. I voted for Trump too and proud of it. Do I agree with everything he does? No, but the man has accomplished more in the first 6 months as president than his predecessor did in 8 years.

Crest may not be a monster for the next few years...but I wouldn't say dismal...the Chargers will be fine, and Burns will be too. You can't have Barnes and Beam teams every year as bad as we would like too.

But I'd be careful on what you guys say on here, for one it's against the rules to go after players and coaches also for some reason, a lot of stuff that gets posted on this site ends up causing problems with parents and coaches and school boards...just give Devine a chance. He's doing the best he can with what he has. Hell all four schools are right now, even mighty Shelby is struggling a little bit on offense.

As BBB said, 'politics" in coaching and at Burns is aka a sore parent. Trust me, coaches want to win just as bad as fans,kids and maybe more. Essentially their livelihood is on the line. They arent gonna play kids that dont give them the best chance to win...that goes for about 90% of the teams across the country in any sport. Coaches and players work too hard to play a kid just cause of "politics" if you are a sore parent..encourage your kid to work harder and bust his butt..he may be a starter eventually OR if he is never a starter or a star, the work he puts in will make him a better man in the future. Lawndaliens need to support the program, not get on here and point fingers. we are young and have some talent, we have better days ahead and Devine and the coaching staff are the men for the job.

You are entitled to your opinion Real deal but your post is way too strong and meant to tear down instead of build up. Coach Devine coached my son and i watched every practice and game last year. He took a group of seniors who got their heads beat in for 2 years with inept coaching and made them believe in themselves ....for the better part of the season ranked in top 10 in the state and won 10 games. He was conference coach of the year last year. In 2 years you will change your screen name and be the biggest cheerleader on NCPREPS for the Devine Dogs.

A freshman QB would not have made a difference, Crest91 hit it on the head. He is just a pot stirrer, that or just absolutely crazy, we all love Devine and what direction the program is going. From my understanding, penalties is what kills drives, we are scoring points when we play mistake free. Defense needs to step it up a little bit more now. Keep the kids motivated and win a couple more ball games to build on next season. These kids will be fine
