Yes. So go with the sure thing, Schiano!!!
Over under on how long it takes this board to go bat nuts and blame Hobbs for a bad hire is Schiano due to mediocre past results by Schiano? I give it 2 games.

You can split hairs and debate the hire all you want. Someone said it is a crime. It’s not a crime.

What do you call it when you say you can do a job, you get hired to do that job, and you get paid very well to do that job, and you don’t do that job?

Hint: stealing money you didn’t earn.

Yes he would if he had that kind of talent on the team and played against that schedule.

Would he still have walked in the door with Boy Wonder at OC, looking to go 5 wide with no FB/TE protection and Nova under center, with zero background experience to draw on when things started to go south? If so, then no he wouldn't have.

Nope. Ash is the all-time worst, then Flood, then Shea.

Agree. Their recruiting is about the same. Shea recruited an NFL QB.. Ash had better infrastructure to work with and a team that went to bowls like 7 out of 9 years or some **** like that. It’s really not close. Shea > Ash. Ash is the worst HC RU has ever had. He’s like Littlepage in BB

There is no crime. Coaching choices at Rutgers are a total crapshoot with the odds stacked against us.

He’s the pool we swim in. He’s horrible and pathetic but he showed up for work everyday and gave it his best. Problem is his best sucks.

None of this is criminal.

Then why do I feel like I've been violated?

I don't think Hobbs should be fired for the original hire but he should pay for the contract extension. That bonehead decision cost Rutgers alot of money. Ashs salary, decreased ticket sales, a return of an apathetic fanbase that will be difficult to bring back.
Agreed. The original hire was a mistake. The contract extension was negligent management.

F him and his $2 million per year. He is the worst coach we have ever had...period.
He sucks but Flood was much worse. What if you reversed the timing of each coach and Flood came into the situation that Ash came into, and Ash came in with all of Schianos players still on the team?

Flood is our best coach of the last decade. He did something that goes on at 99% of D1 programs but unfortunately doing it here was a disaster.

Please stop with the Flood praise. It honestly just makes you look silly. Floods overall tenure was a disaster of legendary proportions. Anything remotely positive he did is so far outweighed by his gross incompetence, laziness, and outright negligence that it is an insult to Rutgers fans to even try and go there. No one, outside of possibly Flood himself, thinks he did a good job here.
