Once again it’s the lack of talent on the lines that is killing RU...and the problem with keeping Ash is HELP is NOT on the way...

This is my biggest problem with Coach Ash. How can a B1G team get pushed around on the line of scrimmage by a Buffalo MAC type team when we have more size, speed and talent? Either our players are not motivated or our coaching staff is not competent at this level of CFB.

For me this is a torpedo to the tenure of our current coaching staff.

We all bought the Kenny Parker strength and conditioning mantra but what has it accomplished in 2 1/2 years, if anything?

Side and speed yes...talent, that’s debatable, look at the recruiting ranking do this OLine...they were nearly all developmental prospects...OLine is the hardest to recruit for and takes the longest to develop...its not a good sign when guys play as freshman and sophomores unless they are 5* recruits...

Well said bac.
I forget, were you on board with the ash hire? IIRC you weren’t thrilled?

I was okay with him but he was hardly on my radar screen.....didnt understand why we had people calling him a great hire...he was a hire that came with many risks, there was a lot of kool aid drinking because Flood/Julie mess got cleaned

Ash admitted there is zero depth on defense and because the offense is inept the defense is always on the field...are they quitting? Maybe but they also have to be exhausted and frustrated that they get no support from the offense
This entire team has quit on him. All they're hearing from the coaches right now is white noise. It's the same mistakes week after week, kids don't even know when they're supposed to be on the field, on the sidelines it's just a defeatist attitude not one ounce of passion. It's over, they're not buying what he's selling any longer.

All the things we’ve discussed are 100% true and I would add his management if redshirts has been atrocious as well. Melton should not have played at all last year and Sitkowski should not have this year. Mismanagement as well as inferior coaching and recruiting. All around just a bad hire. Very very bad hire.

The flood/Julie mess is looking like a carpet stain compared to declaring this mess. The is house ready for demolition.

There really is nothing to discuss. Failure at all levels. Do it before this program gets buried in an abyss

Bring back Greg. This has to be done
its too late already- You guys are even assuming Schiano wants to come back... its a complete scrap and rebuild job. Flood got it started, We hoped Ash would come in and salvage it but its def not any better talent wise. Results are worse because we're now fully depleted.

You would think with 16 OL you can pick 5 and get a somewhat cohesive line with a couple of 4 stars and mostly 3 star guys at that position. DL we all knew that has been weak for years now.

Fb is reminding me of what the B-ball program went through...moribund, and wandering through the lost valley of suck...let’s hope we don’t have to wait that long...
If Schiano hadn't come along, football and basketball could have wandered the valley together the whole time. Thinking of it that way, Schiano was a godsend.

I wrote Buffalo not Kansas. The Buffalo QB is good, throw he made rolling to his right was impressive.

Yeah. RU is getting blown out by teams that are not that good. Half of the CAA would beat this squad. Really. It is that bad.

To those wanting GS back, I can tell you this: He does not want to take another rebuilding job. And we can blame McCormick for running him off in the first place.

I would cut all 85 players along with Ash. These kids are a bunch of dogs (and not in the good way).

Anyone who argues with this is nuts. I don’t want to see one even somewhat positive post after this game today. There is NOTHING positive about RU football right now.
I'll say something postiive. With the number of ole tackles our defenders make, they would have great futures as bull fighters.

The best would be a former successful NFL coach. They are professionals at the highest level, they know what they are doing. Lovie Smith is an example. The down side is maybe they would feel too good for college football and would coast.
Assistants are more miss than hit. Schiano was young, enthusiastic and crazy and got high school players excited about building something. He was a great hire. I wouldn't want him to be the coach now though.

Unlike Flood, who I knew was loser from day 1,
I was 100% behind Ash in his first year. He lost me half way into last season when it was evident he was in over his head. Never in my wildest dreams did I realize how inept he actually was until this season.

I was in denial until this season.

We talk about the buyout for Ash but how much do we lose by keeping him empty stands etc...We need to cut our loss now before we go under. Or get out of the Big10
