I’ve tried really hard to give the guy a chance, but from day one Chris Ash has been an absolute failure and disgrace at RU. I love my school as much as anyone on here but cannot take having this clown as coach anymore. For all of the Ash fan boys, it’s time to take off your scarlet colored sunglasses and look at just a sampling of the facts.
What an absolute circus, but that’s what you sign up for when you hire a guy with no true head coaching credentials. A blind sheep could have been a co-defensive coordinator at OSU and have success – and previous to that, he was best known as an asst at Arkansas who LOST to a Flood coached team. It’s make or break this year, we have 7 games we should win, I’ll accept 6, I predict 4. Sad!
- An embarrassment of an offense – getting first downs are basically touchdowns
- Has had more assistants leave him than any Big Ten coach is the same time frame in NCAA history
- Below average recruiting to put it nicely – and things are so bad now he has to go to Sweden to pull talent
- The hiring of Drew Merhringer. A true embarrassment on and off the field. Best known for yelling “juice” for no reason.
- Can’t find a QB that can complete a legal forward pass. Artie Sit with finally do this for us thankfully.
- Credit card fraud investigation – YES the head coach gets blamed for this whether fair or not
- Takes credit for performance of Flood recruits now in NFL – he made most of them worse too!
- Game day decisions that makes Flood look like Vince Lombardi
- Former asst coach Henry – who Ash referred to him as basically a son – just got up and left this mess after one year
- His W/L record – this is what college football success is defined by, correct?
