UF loss plus a win for us today puts us in 4th place / double bye territory.

A UF loss plus a win for us today and Tuesday might almost clinch the double bye, as I don’t see UF finishing 2-0 at UGA and at home against UK.

Just trying take possibly the last 30 min window available this year to drum up some MBB excitement.

They got smoked by 16 @ Mizzou by 17 @ ole miss and by us at home. An average UConn and now a Tenn team. Anywho, I just feel they should be more bubblicious like we are.

I hate how the bracketology works in college basketball. If we have the higher seed in our conference, we should be above them in the NCAA. Also, if you are on the bubble and get in, you shouldn't be an 11 seed, bubble should be 16. Also, an 11 seed shouldn't have to play in the play-in games. That should be 16 seeds.

The seed thing makes total sense. The bubble teams are usually much better than the auto-bid teams that take up those high number seeds.

You really think the champion of the blind sisters of the poor conference is better than MSU?

1. Conference records aren't comparable because conference schedules aren't comparable. We have a very easy conference schedule this year.
2. Bubble teams get a #11 seed because they're better teams than about 20 or so auto bid teams.
3. There are 2 play-in games for an 11 seed in the tournament because when they expanded to 68 teams, they didn't want to punish the smaller conferences.

All the losses you listed are Quad 2. They don’t have any Quad 3 losses (we have 2), and they have beaten 2 or 3 bona fide NCAA tourney teams while we have just beaten one.

They've also had more chances to do so thanks to playing ky and LSU at home and away whereas we only played those two away. If we get LSU at home we win just like they did.

I’m not really sure what you’re suggesting. The committee can only judge based on what happened on the court. There are no hypotheticals on what might have happened if two teams played at a different location or if teams played a different schedule than they did. If you also look at Q1 as a whole, UF has more wins (4 vs. 3) and a better winning percentage (.333 vs. .250). They more more good wins, fewer bad losses (none, actually), and more wins against tourney teams. Their resume is just flat out better and it really isn’t close.
