It’s certainly possible but he hasn’t earned the benefit of the doubt on PR stuff. He completely 17ed up the Leach tweet issue. Basically did the only unforgivable thing that any high schooler with any sense could have known not to do.

Anybody that assumes that Cohen is competent on this stuff will take this as an admission that whatever was alleged actually happened. Which is fine if he has pretty strong proof it happened. If he doesn’t have strong proof, it was another 17 up.

They remembered it for longer than they would have if he hadn’t kept it in the news cycle. If your position is it doesn’t matter what he does pst the very short term, that’s probably not a bad position, but even more of a reason for him to just let it die without jeopardizing the relationship with Leach by implying there was something racial about his tweet. .
