McShank kicks like he's drunk and cross-eyed

A walk-on could do better sadly

It shouldn’t even cross Leach’s mind to let him kick that. It was over when he came out onto the field.

I was fine with it. It was 40yds. He was capable. Ruiz I'm not confident on an XP and he's already missed 2 FGs.

Ruiz unless he's hurt is the only one that has a chance to even come close to that. The snap didn't matter. 400 high school kickers could have made that with their eyes closed.

The sad part is that bad snap probably would've made Ruiz's kick fly through with no problem.**

Both kickers are horrible! If Ruiz had tried and missed the field goal, everyone of you would have said we should have let McCord try it. The coaches were in a bad situation either way because both kickers are so bad.

Holder didn’t handle it cleanly. I would have rather had Ruiz kicking it. 40 yards middle of the field. Basically kick it like an XP. Oh well. It happens. It sucks but it happens.

I’d be ok giving Ruiz a chance to redeem himself there, but then we’d all be calling Leach an idiot if he did that & missed it. We were damned either way. I have zero confidence in either kicker.

Agreed, 100% you can’t let someone unproven have a shot at a game winning/losing field goal. Not to mention all the pressure that comes with it.

Here is the deal with McCord. If you ever watch these guys in pregame warmups, McCord almost never misses, all the way back to 60 yards. He's got a huge leg and the ball explodes off his foot in a way that doesn't with Ruiz. The problem is that he misses those kicks when the lights are on and they count. We saw that when Ruiz was hurt. Clearly the guy has the jitters in game situations, which is exactly why YOU CANT LET HIM KICK IT THERE. Your coaching staff should know his personnel better than that.

Something hasn’t been right about Ruiz. Forgot which game it was after he came back from injury, made a fg but grabbed his leg. Went out for the kickoff and didn’t even make it to the 10. New something was off back the .

100% correct. A freshman who is 4 of 7, on the road in the SEC in a huge game, to keep the game alive with 2 seconds on the clock. A huge mistake.

Did anyone else notice the first person that came to him after he missed was the kicker from the other team and Ruiz?

I'm not mad at them because they didn't get a flag or get away with an ejectionable foul.

I agree with this. Guys miss kicks. McCord was put into a difficult situation there.

That missed 23 yarder from Ruiz is the most egregious one.

If Ruiz had missed another one people would be losing it that we didn’t pull him. I’m for sure more upset with the missed 23 yarder than I am the one at the end.

It looked to me that the snap was fine, the holder bobbled it. Ruiz has to take that mick though.
