The thing about mitch is…he’s actually been a good AD in terms of keeping the athletic department profitable.

The problem is the majority of Kentucky fans and supporters are basketball first and the basketball program at best has stagnated under his watch. 4 final fours and 1 title in 20 years is great for programs like Florida, Michigan State, Louisville, Arizona. But with the level of fan investment at Kentucky it’s underwhelming.

Kentucky fans want to step back in front of unc, duke and kansas and that just hasn’t happened under Mitch and it’s not going to. he’s just way too conservative and him handing the basketball program over to Cal is an effect of that.

Sadly Kentucky basketballs time as King of the mountain has come to an end.
