For those who have gone to the Army-Navy game in the past, did you purchase your tickets through Army/Navy, or did you get them on the secondary market? If you got them on the secondary market, how difficult was it to get them? Were they outrageously priced? Thanks.

I used to get them from 3rd party people in Philly. Now I have season tickets to Navy so get the direct. You need to be a season ticket holder to Army or Navy to get them direct from either Academy. They have been around 3x face value on stub hub the past few years.

Uncle was West Point Class of 54. He was living in Texas we used his name and ticket order form when the game was in the Meadowlands

I frankly don't understand the reason for this post. The game is this coming Saturday. Have you tried to get Tix thru either school or second hand? Why don't you just give it a shot and see for yourself?

You're not getting Tix from the schools now. These are expensive Tix. Pay lots equal easy. Pay less equal difficult. Seriously?
The original post is from July.

Yeah.. You're fast. I realized and immediately deleted.
But the dude can't use the internet to find basic info?

Well njoy. Been to 4 of them. Wonderful time.
First of all, I'm a chick, and not a dude.

Second, the reason I'm posting here is because I searched the internet and can't find out what time the pregame pageantry starts. I would think that others have been to the game and might be able to help me out and answer my question.

Don't be a presumptuous jerk if you don't have anything positive to add.

This thread is worthless without a

Go Army…SINK Navy! (sing second!)

best rivalry in American sports…not just college! I say this every year but it bears repeating. Better than Ohio St/Mich, Bama/AU, Duke/UNC, UF/FSU, Yanks/Red Sox, Dodgers/Giants, Bears/Packers

Army/Navy covers every sport - obsessively…at West Point you’ll see a three star general leading cheers against Navy in Womens Softball…rowing, and sports NO ONE cares about at other places. If there’s a chess or Angry Birds or some other silly competition, and Army/Navy are playing, it will be followed and obsessed over to an almost unhealthy degree by officers who frankly have better things to focus on. This week those few poor Navy officers at WP are having the entire contents of their offices emptied into the apron…regardless of weather.

StubHub tickets were around $100 (before Stub fees) a few days ago
Of course the seats are up high with the gulls

The march on is hours before the game. Starts EDIT 12pm. It's awesome to see but the downside is you're stuck inside in an empty stadium for hours before any of the other pregame events start. You can not leave the stadium and re-enter.
It's not exactly the same but you can see them from outside the stadium going in. It's still in groups and military procession.

Yea I don’t think it’s that early. I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s at 10

Usually they’ll give a schedule of events for everything, there’s a lot going on all day. I’d say from experience, get there early and soak it in.

oh and…….GO ARMY! Beat Navy!

One last thing. It takes forever to get in. Plan at least an hour and half to start working your way to the gates. It's similar to going through security at an airport. You want to get in for the fly-bys and parachute drop.

Right now the temps are projected to be in high 50s-60s with chance of rain
Wonder what cadets dress like if weather is in 60s
I don't think I ever saw a game without the capes (which cadets have to pay for btw - they are leased)
