Any word on his recruitment? Noticed that Duke picked up a CB pick from Watson FWIW. I had written him off to the holes a long time ago. Just wondering if someone might know something that might be in Duke’s favor. It would be awesome to take away a recruit from them!

My guess is Vernon and Stewart ain't happening. 2nd guess is Wiseman probably commits to Memphis leaving a clear path for Vernon To go to uk. I know k wants 2 bigs in this class. So interested to see if Watson and Rowe change there pick on Carey in the next couple days. Think the staff has made Stewart priority ##1 in the post.

Not sure, but sea of blue( UK insiders) did report a couple of weeks ago, that Duke was in the drivers seat with Vernon Carey and Bryan Antoine. Maybe it’s Stewart that isn’t coming, but then again who knows?!

Carey is gifted on offense very polished. But his motor and D IS A DIASTER. Give me Stewart his motor never stops and he hustles on both ends.

How certain are we that Bolden won't be around for his senior year? I mean, he didn't even flirt with the draft process this year. I think Bolden will have a solid year, but I'm not sure how that will translate into NBA Draft readiness, just simply because the league has become so dependent on jump shooters and bigs that can stretch the floor. Given that, I kind of suspect Bolden might be back. If that's the case, we really only would need one five-star big to go along with Bolden and DeLaurier, who would both be experienced seniors. I'll take Isaiah Stewart, if given a choice. Two-way studs are a rarity.

Completely agree. Carey is lazy. The right coach can probably fix that but I'm sure he's intent on being OAD. That means a coach is going to have very little time to break him of some bad habits. And he'll of course expect playing time and because he's so good, correcting poor habits by sitting him on the bench is going to be tough - especially for a team that puts all their eggs into the Carey basket. Give me Bacot all day, everyday. Kid looks like he wants to get better.

I hate UK but agree that Cal is probably a better guy to fix Carey's laziness and disinterest in D. One of the reasons I was worried about landing him, we don't have a history of getting guys like that to play D.

I want Vernon Carey the most, guy is gonna be an absolute monster in college. He better not go to UK.
I feel the same, but as a UK fan, lol. This kid is gonna be special. He reminds me a lot of DeMarcus Cousins.
