First time poster, long time follower. Has anyone else experienced any issues with hotel accommodations cancelling reservations due to the weather issues in the area? We were planning on driving over from South Mississippi with the family for the weekend but were told that by the Townplace Suites in Arlington that they were cancelling our reservations, I am also having problems getting a hold of anyone from the Rangers Field to see if they are offering any refunds due to the weather difficulties. Is anyone else having the same problems?

Yeah I understand the the importance of taking care of the folks around the area if that's what they are doing. I doubt we make the trip at this point, looks like a refund on tickets is doubtful as well. If anyone is looking for tickets I have 2 adult and 2 under 13 tickets for Saturday and what was supposed to be Friday but I guess they are now good for Monday.
Check around DFW Airport or even over in Ft Worth. Airport is an easy drive down Hwy 360 to Globe Life Park. Plenty of hotels in and around the Stadium, Jerry World and 6 Flags. They are correct in that tons of locals are staying in hotels that dont have power. However, we melted pretty good today, and tomorrow will be sunny and up to 37. Should have the roads looking pretty good, and hopefully Ercot will pull their thumb out of their ***. Almost all power has been restored to DFW.

Thanks for the info. Me and the Wife will look around tonight and see if we can't find other arrangements. The family was really excited about the trip until Icemaggedon came along.
Saturday 44/37, Sunday 50/27 and Monday 57/35 weather is going to be amazing. Also, look in Grapevine and Southlake as well. Easy commute from both cities to the Stadium.
A lot of hotels are putting up locals. Even folks with their power restored are coming home to flooded houses from burst pipes, so rooms will likely continue to be at a premium.
Also, be aware that Arlington is under a boil water order and our water pressure is non-existent. If you can book outside Arlington, you’ll be better off.

I should have waited to cancel my room so I could have transferred it to some one. But since I was booked at the residence I’m sure it’s packed since it has more long term living amenities

Arlington is to DFW as Mayhew Junction is to the Golden Triangle.
Stay in Dallas, FW, Frisco, or Grapevine. Skip Arlington and just drive to the games. Traffic should be fine by Saturday.

Stayed in Las Colinas last cowboys games I went to nice area. Downtown Fort Worth is usually a fun area with walking distance restaurants. No idea if they are open though.
