Scored 7 runs last night. All via the home run. Struck out 18 times. I may be wrong but seems like they rely on the long ball a lot of late. That won't work very well in omaha but its dang effective right now.

Certainly effective to get them to Omaha, but not to keep them there.

At home they have a south easterly wind that carries those balls out the park as well. However they were on the road last night so that is impressive

It is nice to hit homeruns but when you have a quirky ballpark that makes it too easy, it can hurt you in the long run. We all know Omaha is a huge park. I worry a little bit about how the new dude plays sometimes. Give me a bunch of gap hitters all day every day. That said, if a kid can hit it a mile, that is nice too.

We just don’t want a lineup full of kids that are getting it 5 ft over the fence when the ball is carrying.

In the south, most ballparks are built with the southwest directly behind home plate and northeast directly behind center field because the prevailing winds are blowing From the southwest to the northeast.

The further north you go, the less that is a factor, especially in a place like Omaha, where the winds blow more out of the northwest. I am not sure the direction Baum is built, but I feel pretty confident the Aggies stadium is built SW to NE.
