Reffing continues to suck. Really turned the game in Arkansas' favor. Last 3 fouls against Holmgren were very questionable; Ark got a 3 point basket after an out-of-bounds that was not called. When the TV announcers question the calls, you know the refs are bad.

Yes . But he was accused on this board of cheating and screwing us
Four 4 star recruits in 2020.

Two 5 star and two more 4 star recruits in 2022.

To go to Arkansas ? 😂 That's Arkansas 😂, One more time, Arkansas 😂.

Their coach is a great recruiter the same way Will Wade was a great recruiter at L$U.

Arkansas plays an old Georgetown style of defense under Thompson where you could call a foul on nearly every possession.

Whatever Musselman was doing at Nevada still works effectively as evidenced by a top 3 incoming recruiting class next year. I have seen the energy that he brings to practices and games. I believe that he relates to the players in a way that few others can or have done.

Listen I get it . It’s about winning . But if he did pay players that has been alleged on this board , he isn’t liked here

Look - I get that winning all the time isn’t easy no matter who you play but when you looking back at the Zag’s non-conference schedule, they went 3-2 against real opponents - 1 home game and the rest neutral games. TT, UCLA and Texas are excellent wins, but they also lost to Duke and Alabama. They went 2-1 against St Marys (losing the road game). 5-3 against that collection of teams (one true road game that was a loss) is very good, but maybe labeling them the consensus best team in the country was a bit much?

I get it. IF , and if anyone has the proof, they need to bring it forward, and if they don’t, then this discussion is useless. But if it is true, then he isn’t liked in Arkansas or my house either.

WFPS!! I’m thrilled the Hogs won. It would fantastic if they played St. Pete’s in the championship, assuming the brackets allow for it.

That wasn’t that good on a Gonzaga team. This shouldn’t be surprising. No idea why I didn’t lay any money on Arkansas +9.5.

They are ready to play at the beginning of the season winning many ooc games. Credit for that. It elevates them to top 5 and they run through a **** league which is only given credit because of the Zags strong ooc play. St marys is ok. The rest of the league is trash including San Fran

With BYU leaving the WCC for the Big 12 its time for the Zags to head to the Mountain West

I mean they won 3 early meaningful games against top teams early and lost 2. None of them were true road games. One of the wins was at home. Going 3-2 against those teams is very good - but is it really top 5 worthy? Seems more like solid top 20ish to me which isn’t one seed territory. Credit them for winning a ton of easy games but I’d bet most of the teams seeded 1-4ish would also run through their schedule.

I'm as big a cynic as anyone when it comes to recruiting, especially in the SEC, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that highly rated HS players would choose Arkansas. They've been to multiple Final Fours, won a NC, and have had 2 head coaches in Eddie Sutton and Nolan Richardson that are legends. There is a tradition there.

the issue is if you put them in the Big 10 they would go 14-6 be more like a 2-3 seed

I have always stressed that non conference is very important but its pretty clear that the computer rankings put too much weight on those games and it shapes the whole entire perception going forward. The Zags blueprint is schedule 6 tough non conference games. go 4-2 and voila...even 3-3 puts them in a really good spot. They will not lose more than 2-3 games if that in league play and they set themselves up for a top 4 seed most years. The fact is 14 of their 26 regular season wins came to schools in Quad . This year they beat Texas Tech, UCLA, Texas and Memphis and lost to Duke and Alabama all on neutral sites. Now that is a great accomplishment. No one schedules tougher than them for that stretch of games. Mark Few has his team ready to play from day 1 and that is the key, that these are all neutral sites games is telling but these schools want the Zags name. I would want RU to schedule Gonzaga as well or get in one of these big tourneys with them in it if RU is trending toward a tourney team. Its an enormous gift to your computer rankings. Note they also played about 8 other ****** schools pretty comparable to the ones RU played non conference.

Almost every year Gonzaga will have a net in the top solely because of the non conference scheduling, so the entire WCC gets inflated as you saw with St Marys, San Fran, Santa Clara. St Marys is a good team but not top 20 net good, San Fran at 22 a complete joke

SG, not a friend at Nevada, a basketball acquaintance at Rutgets who I have known for about twenty years who is very connected with the Athletic Department. In all those years, this is the only incident where he told me flat out another school paid a family. Again, this was while Musselman was at Nevada. I guess none of this kind of thing matters now with Johnny Smith, quarterback, getting hundreds of thousands before he even gets on the field at January 1 Bowl Game University. The whole NIL thing needs to be under some type of rules. I love college sports, not alternate pro league sports.

Gonzaga was a good team, not great team. I think it was rather obvious that this wasn’t a championship caliber team. They lost Suggs and Kispert. That’s not easy to replace. I really can’t believe they were given the number 1 overall seed.

HeavenUniv, I appreciate your clarification. i hope that everyone senses my frustrations as the Hogs were winning last night with great defense(the refs were horrible both ways again last night), but seemingly the only thing the board wanted to discuss was Musselman paying for recruits allegedly.

Disturbing allegations for sure, and if proven true, he will pay the consequences.

Until such time as the allegations may be proven, I am telling y’all that Musselman can flat out coach. This Razorback team was a disaster in December and not much better in early January. Hell, we got beat by Hofstra on our home court! Coach made some personnel corrections and focused on defense and a different team decided they wanted to win. And win they did! The Hogs have beaten 2 number one ranked teams in the same season now. No one Else has done that.

The Hogs aren’t world beaters, and will probably lose to Duke, but you never know what will happen in the tourney.

Rooting for the hogs.
The few hog fans(except 1) I've interacted with have been really good folks. Had to deal with one knuckle head @ the bowl game in Tampa. Won't hold it against y'all.

Definitely the Hogs. All my interactions with their fans have been positive, dislike Duke and my dad attended Arkansas for a semester in the 1930’s
