They did that a lot in the regular season too. Only one sweep all year in conference play, and many of those series went to a Sunday rubber game.
To their credit, they’ve been as good as it gets in those type of games.
They lost two pitchers the last two weeks of the season that makes them a lot thinner on the mound than they’d like. Bringing in Kepp’s down one run today is a real head scratcher to me. I’d have saved him to try and get 6-7 innings from him tomorrow.
It’s an act of desperation...
Davey boy either can’t sleep since that dropped pop up or he’s under a lot of pressure. His team lost nobody to the draft, and he is riding Kopps and Slavens hard and putting them away wet.
I haven’t seen anything like this since Bertman was in charge at Lootieville.

Kopps only threw 20 pitches so he should have a big workload tomorrow. It is frustrating how all season we have to take every series to a 3rd game though. Only 2 sweeps in SEC play. Pretty sure the top of our lineup is hitting below the Mendoza line over the last 3 weeks…we suddenly only have one guy in the lineup now hitting over .300 and he’s been a pinch hitter most of the year.
