Headed to Fayetteville this year for the first time. What other things are can't miss other than the game?

A lot is going to depend on how much time you have.NW Arkansas has a population of over 500,000 and their is a lot going on.I told DS I would try to answer questions as best I can.Fall foliage will will be over, but drive up I49 from I40 is a scenic drive into Fayetteville.Dont want to write a book, but have a second home in mnts. here so familiar with area. Will try to help answer question as best I can.

Would recommend Foghorns across street from Baum baseball field.Good beer and burger sports bar. Can park in area about 6 blocks from stadium.Little over a mile south on razorback road.

Not going to be much help here, going to have a hard time with free parking unless hotel has a shuttle. people park at large lots no. and east of Baum stadium also at Fayetteville high school east of campus off Martin Luther King (6th st.),but most have a fee I believe. Also NW of stadium in yards which I know charge. To get there go Wedington off I49 to Sang ave wind thru res. area till you find a yard close to Maple st.A walk down Maple one block you will be at North end of stadium.Visitor seating is in NO. East endzone.Best and short walk is Fayetteville H.S.Just not sure if campus parking charges or not.

I live here in Fayetteville right off of the Wedington exit. Like he said above Foghorns is probably the best bar area around the stadium but will also probably be packed. Sassys BBQ is on college ave. it's really good but not very close to the stadium. Grubs is on Dickson street it's a bar/grill, but then again there are tons of options on Dickson street for drinks and food. Mexico Viejo is a Mexican restaurant on MLK with giant beers and it's cheap it's also next to the cowboy if you're into that kind of thing. If you're here for a while there's Crystal Bridges museum in Bentonville that has some amazing stuff up there. Not sure but there may be some concerts or events at George's or at the AMP. Like I said it just depends on what you're looking to get into

The Pig Trail

Aka highway 71 is a beautiful ride. Just exit off at Alma and head up that way for some pretty sweet views of mountains but definitely don't with a hangover. Lots of curvy roads

JJ's bar and grill on Wedington has great prices and a lot of drinks with all bar and grill type food, powerhouse is a seafood place off of Dickson with a cool atmosphere and you gotta try the kilowatt drink (so strong they limit you to 2), Apple Blossom Brewery is a restaurant and brewery up by the mall. Fossil Cove is another awesome brewery here as well. U.S. Pizza is on Dickson as well

NWA dog has good imfo. Didn't want to overwhelm board at one time.Friday nite on Dickson for drinks and music. Georges majestic lounge is the place to start $5 cover. music starts at 6:00. I have two tables reserved for MSU.A good band, Nace is playing that nite. Whats up section in Friday paper gives times, bands and venues. More later.

Thanks for all of the info. I just booked a college chicks apartment through airbnb. First time to use this service. Shouldn't be more than a couple blocks from Dickson street.
