Going to take a huge effort and some luck to get 1 tomorrow.
I had some concerns about this team and still
Do but I think we can be good enough to host but not sure we’re a Top 10 team at this point.
Still a lot baseball to be played though.

Wow. Both of the things I posted that were issues so far this season happened to bite us in the backside. They have not hit great against #1 pitchers and no closer. Great for Woodson though. Win 2 tomorrow.

Last year that’s cause for celebration. This year we view it as disappointment. Crazy how the perspective change distorts things, ain’t it?

I learned that you often lose when you play against two of the better pitchers in the country in the same game. And yet we still should have beat them with just a little more timely hitting or some better fortune on hard hit balls.

DVH is something else. Hard to be wound up tighter and more over involved than Bianco. But there he is.

I don‘I really have any overarching takeaways from that game other than “we’re good, they’re good, they were slightly better situationally.”

I presume we were not planning to use Davis tonight unless we had a lead, so never even got him warm. By the time we tied it, the next batter was the end of the inning, so not really any time to get him warm. And then the first batter of their AB ended the game. It just kinda is what it is. We were in a little bit of a tough spot bullpen management wise with a game we trailed most of the way and a doubleheader tomorrow.

I’m not going to lose sleep over a one run loss on an SEC Friday night. It’s 33% of the Story. They play three game series for a reason.

I still firmly believe we can win either or both games tomorrow.

Tomas gonna have to deal then. Btw, I know home announcers can be Homers, but their announcers tonight definitely displayed some bias. To be expected I guess. Just never hear our guys get that way.

This team is 15-3 with those 3 losses against top 10 teams, on the road, and all 1 loss games. As Coach said, we need to jump out earlier and clean up base running. All 3 of those games show that. We haven’t been blown out, just didn’t do what we needed to, WHEN we needed to. New team, new coaches … just have to grind a bit more.

If the first inning dictated the rest of the game, then you are correct sir. But the game is 9 innings. The difference in this game was 2 homers, one by our starter and one by a reliever. That has to stop. We give up too many home runs, JUSTIN PARKER.

You are basing your analysis of this team based on early March, opening SEC weekend results? 2016 and 2021 would like a word.
