You have been a band critic (rightfully so) for years. I’m surprised you haven’t commented on how great our band and our director have become.

I think he was more a critic of Tim Smith as were others here, some were former band members. The band was incredible last night. Was very proud of their performance.
Coming from a person who isn’t into band stuff, it was absolutely incredible. Brought my father and his friend and everyone was in awe. We loved it.
I'm not a marching band guy at all, but I suspected we might see something different at halftime, so I watched the show and it was great.
It made the half time feel much quicker. Was a good one. Playing at night pluses everything.
This is how I remember it also. I have been a critical of the band in the past. Not the participants but the direction and leadership as well.
The band knocked it out of the park this week. They brought energy and a much needed modern approach to their program. Previous director would roll out the same routine and musical program from year to year. I lost count on how many times we played tribute to “Earth wind and fire”.
