I think we all tend to dwell on the bad parts of the Rutgers resume. The important thing is- is our resume better than the teams we are competing with for a bid? I think it is
Only natural to do so but we could have controlled our own destiny and failed . Not a disgrace as Iowa is a very good team but most here figured 1 more win to assure a bid. Hope we receive one since I love this coach and team.

Will be interesting to see the outcome of Iowa-Indiana today.

Iowa cannot lay an egg on us.

I don’t think it was. If we were the five instead we’d have had a must win game against Northwestern. That game wouldn’t have really moved the needle if we won and would have been disastrous if we lost. And then we’d have had Iowa waiting for us in the next round anyway.
Would you have preferred NW? I would have.

But a win would be 19-13 instead of 18-13 …

It probably doesn’t matter but the fact that Illinois and Wisconsin also lost coming off the double bye somehow makes me feel better about the loss

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of people who refuse to acknowledge the effect of officiating and rely on old cliches.

Iowa was in the double bonus each half.
They outshot us by 15 foul shots. We lost by 10. It was the most important factor of the Game.
Because they earned it by taking it to the rim. Our lame ISO, perimeter offense doesn’t earn FTs.

Rutgers is a lock. SHU fans mad bc they go to a worse school and want to be THE NJ bball program... but no one cares.

Rutgers will make it further than them too which will really piss them off

Can anyone provide a link to the SHU thread saying that we are out?

The entertainment value alone for RU fans will be worth the click.
I get the rivalry. But I never root for them to be out. Having 3 Jersey teams out of 68 ( hoping Princeton wins) is just awesome and if a Rider, Monmouth, St. peters, or a FDU added it would only be better.(and I'm talking in general not this selection).

What game where you watching - we took more shots in the paint than Iowa and less perimeter shots. We do play in your face D but no reason for such a disparity.

get your scarlet knights baby bottle and titty ready with your best baby blanket because you fools are out. Rock a bye baby, on the bubble. When the wind blows, the cradle will rock and dump you into the NIT.
You must be the source of unbiased reason. But when I looked you up on Wikipedia it showed this.

You might want to look into that.

Cliff yes, because Iowa doesnt have a center. the rest of our team is primarily perimeter. and just a few short armed, floaters and fadeaways from Paul and Caleb which is NOT taking it strong. Even our back up center if you want to call him a 5 doesnt evr take it strong.

We are a perimeter team. Not going to get even FTs when we play softer than the other team.

So I decided to look back and see where the points came from for both teams, RU had 36 shots in the paint and Iowa had 22. Again, Iowa had the whistle. It’s okay to admit it sometimes even if it doesn’t fit your narrative

And because I know your response, yes RU faded away on some shots but there were plenty of lay ups taken to the rim by both RHJ and Geo that were full of contact and weren’t called. The stats don’t lie, there is no way that RU should have been doubled up in fouls.

I think Cliff is getting fouled too but because dunks so emphatic, he doesn’t get any calls.

For what they pay in tuition to go a community college, they should be able to get some basketball wins. I can an understand the anger though, remember when we left the conference and they had to shut it down - only to start it back up so Villanova had some teams to beat up on?
