IMO yes, but the committee will not be friendly to us.

We’ll have to play the top 5 seed

Like any job, you don't get to present only part of your resume.
No, but you are ONLY looking at the metrics and not the total picture as well. The eye test, the 4 straight quad 1 wins against top 25 teams, Geo did not play in their lost games in November. If one looks at the totality of the season, this IS an NCAA team.

Right now I would say yes, but we won’t be moving up and the chances of moving down with results today and tomorrow remain.

Politi just asked McCaffrey if he thinks Rutgers should be in. McCaffrey basically called it a stupid question and said of course Rutgers should be in.

Say what you want about McCaffrey but anyone who thinks Politi is an ******* is good in my book.

It was a good question because McCafferty response has relevance if NCAA Selection Committe members were watching.Rutgers is a bubble team because of the NET rankng and the only way they get a bid is bye looking at the totalty of the record .

Show me other bubble teams that have those types of notches on their belt. Those wins are not a fluke. One bad game before Thanksgiving cannot offset that list of wins. Or shouldn’t. If you were putting a basketball tournament together wouldn’t you want a team like that in there versus some team with a similar record that hasn’t proven that they could compete at the highest level but just compiled all of their wins against medicore competition?

With 2 of those being ROAD wins. Boom.

We are in. Everyone said if we beat Indiana and Penn State, we were in. Today didn’t hurt us. It’s just the metric geeks harping on metrics and causing doubt. We all know the metrics is a negative, but any other seeds in our neighborhood have problems in their resume as well
