Are we done with the suspensions yet?

Not even close. The soonest we could be done would be the 10th game of the season. Anyone who thought (or still thinks) that these suspensions would be something that would have a minimal effect on our season would be wrong. When two of those suspended players are our best pass rusher and one of our starting linebackers it’s a big deal. The effect is greater than it would seem at first look. These idiots are responsible for weakening this team, no doubt about it. I hope they at least learned something from it, but they probably haven’t.

Yeah. 2 starters out doesn’t sound too bad. But considering where our defensive losses from last year were, those were about as critical as any 2 starters suspended could be.

and some other SEC teams could miss those players and never skip a beat performance wise but not State..just don't have the depth

I know Gay played against KY, but I'm not sure about Autry. And doesn't Gay still owe another half for a personal foul? I'm wondering if we'll see either of them again until the Egg Bowl.

Willie Gay can play in three more games. I don’t believe he has to miss any extra time for his ejection against Kentucky. Autry can play only in two more games, thanks to the absurd decision to play him against USM.

I think both will (or at least should) play against Tennessee and Ole Miss. For Willie’s third game, last week I was in favor of that one being the A&M game. Now I think it should be against Arkansas.

That assumes he can play 3 straight games without getting kicked out of one. Odds aren't good. He needs to get his **** together and quit hurting the team.

Is that ever teh rule? I don't remember anybody having to sit out a half in a subsequent game before the targeting rule was put in place. Even if he had gotten his second personal foul in the second half, I'm not sure that would require that he sit out in the next game.

I'm not sure why, but that statement just made me laugh. Probably the fact that it seems to summarize our season thus far perfectly in two short sentences

I think the problem is many of those guys were going to be the back up's. Now when they are out we have Freshmen as back up. On one of those long passing TD's we had two true Freshman on the field. One of them was the one who made the mistake.
