We've seen alot worse statistically and potentially bail out of here. I 100% wouldn't be surprised with either or both.

Let them go.

I want some Wildcats in here. Done with these 1 n done night stands. That Coach Cal keeps recruiting. Need some passion from collegiate athletes. plz
But those are the types of players that should be program players.

If Cal is going to do as he says, those are the guys he needs to get to come back next season and the season after.

He says he spends 3 minutes with each player after the season, well, that needs to change, he needs to have a plan for each player and make UK a priority for guys that are not first round draft picks.

Brooks is a tweener(3&4). He really needs to work on his strength, hands, passing and shooting(especially in the paint). Whether that is here or not is up in the air.

Toppin came here to improve in every aspect of the game. He has all of the tools to be great and a work ethic to get there. I highly doubt he leaves.

Toppin where is he going exactly? He'll be back.

Brooks.........the only thing that makes me hesitant is wasn't he basically out the door the year before? To me, that signals a guy that really wants to go. It kinda reminds me of Lamb. Yeah u might get them to stay another year but staying 3 or 4 years? I don't know.

I really feel like we are in this state of flux with this team. We need multi year guys to have some kind of foundation for future years but they need to be good too or else we are looking at another rough year next season.

It's ok for these guys to come back but in addition I feel like Cal needs to hit a HR or two in recruiting. He didn't last year and from what I gather about the incoming class, he hasn't this year either.

They will put their names in, won’t sign with a real agent (maybe NCAARep) will be told by everyone to rerun. They both should be back or they might go hang out with EJ and the dragon.

okay then Cal should go if you can’t fix the culture with this coach then what’s the point.

Toppin should be back. He came here expecting to sit out this past season.

Brooks I don’t know where he’d go. Not NBA ready. He gonna transfer? He’s in line for good minutes next year.
He would go wherever Boston and Clarke are going I guess.

It’s comical at this point. If we lose someone like Brooks, that’s just insane. He can’t hit an outside shot consistently and can’t hold his position down low. His offensive game needs a ton of work.

Cal has made the Kentucky program a **** show. Him saying that we will end up with eight new players is just absurd. Would be the exact same thing as this past year, personnel wise. The epitome of insanity.

These are the kids that need to stay 3-4 years if we lose KB and Toppin then gonna be another rough year.

I can't believe a kid here plays a hand full of games, and thinks he's good enough to sign an agent for the NBA. If he was so great in high school with a big reputation why wouldn't he want to come back and prove himself making his draft stock rise...Only at Kentucky and hard to believe; of course you know who I'm talking about.....

I’m really worried about Toppin. I think he is going to be a great player but I also think he should have announced already that he is coming back, and he hasn’t. Brooks I could care less.

It’s not required to announce anything if you have no intention of leaving. With Brooks I’d watch the IU hire. If it’s a home run I could see Brooks being talked back to Indiana.

This video tells me Calipari's belief of what a college program should be, greatly differs from mine. This tells me he really thinks it is about the next level and getting there, wherever "there" is, as fast as possible. It’s not about building a program, it's about the kids leaving asap and you should only cone back if you need to work on some stuff.

It’s genuinely always so interesting to me to see so many people decrying injustice and “equality” etc while being branded head to toe in overpriced Nike gear made by literal children and women (mostly) in Chinese sweatshops for scraps. In a Country run by an actual deplorable communist regime. It’s truly fascinating to behold.

Edit- sorry- The only thing that stood out during this rinsed and repeated word vomit was John Calipari’s crisp white $120 Nike dri fit shirt.

Do we need Toppin to announce? I keep hearing that some of these guys shouldn’t even be a question well I don’t think they are. Sometimes no news is good news. Kinda like Lance Ware I assumed he was back but then he had to deny transfer rumors and then even after that he had to make an Instagram post saying he was back bc of all the speculation even after that about him leaving

They all gone. Rinse. Repeat. Uk basketball sucks again.
2013 2014 2018 2020 these are the only double digit loss seasons.
UK has finished the SEC either first or second in twelve seasons.
UK has missed the tournament twice in twelve seasons
They have been to the elite eight or better in seven out of nine tournament runs
So in my opinion historically UK will not suck again although many on this board would love for them to because of the despise the head coach.

I think the fanbase is just conditioned now to believe that everyone is leaving based on previous history.

But yeah.......Toppin I would be shocked if he wasn't playing for UK next season.

Pointing to the past is of little help at this point for a few reasons:

1. We're not landing elite freshmen anymore
2.Our 2nd tier players transfer or leave for the pros anyway

Your narrative treats the paradigm as if it's still an apples to apples comparison. It's not. We can't keep the Quades, the Vanderbilts, or the Montgomerys anymore, and we're not landing the Walls or the Davises.

The system is broken now, and Cal has not adjusted.

At all.
