Absolutely they are. The whole situation reminds me of one we’ve all probably been through in high school or college, maybe even now…

You’re dating someone a while. She says you’re the love of her life. Something better comes along. You ditch the has been for the shiny new toy. That night the has been jumps in bed with the first guy that comes along and the next day says she’s found the love of her life… again. Sadly, for her, the cycle never ends.

Iowa State athletics exist primarily to develop coaches for other programs,... It's a common tale.

Athletically, their saving grace for now, is that Otzelberger has a 29 million dollar buyout. It's the third highest in all of college basketball. However, he's only the 38th highest paid coach. And it's not like ISU can give him a substantial raise. It will be interesting to see what happens in his future if he keeps kicking *** in Ames.

ISU has become SDSU South. The Clones can make it a clean sweep and pipeline the Jackrabbits WBB coach when Fennelly retires.

He apparently is not happy with the way Pollard handles NIL and won’t give up control. It is said to be bad enough that it could force him to bolt for another job in a couple of years.

ISU has had a couple of good years- but they act like they’ve been a perennial power…..they completely disregard their last 100 years.

ISU Men's basketball last 4 years 3-1 and 2 straight soon to be 3 straight.
ISU football last 4 years 3-1 and 2 straight.

Let's be honest here, ISU has owned Iowa of late in the only 2 men's programs that most of the country cares about.
That’d be your opinion. Their football wins seem like world beaters to you? I’d hardly call it owning.

Dochterman summed it up well today. Campbell will be like lute was to Iowa fans. Scorned after he left zona for awhile. But after as time passes by he will be thought of fondly.
Lute took Iowa to a Final Four. Campbell wasn't remotely close to something like that. Which means, Yes. After all this is a place that built a statue for a guy who was .521
