Apparently Arch has a relative or there’s an Ole Miss fanboy that works at Fox News. He’s been on the front page of foxnews.com at least 3 different times (that I’ve seen) for relatively ordinary highlights and other non-newsworthy related topics. Ole Miss was also on there a few weeks ago for some benign topic. Thought ol’ Shep was gone?

No idea what’s going on with all that, but OM is going to hook him up with about the biggest NIL windfall that the world has ever seen.

Don’t know if he’s a fan but Bo Wallace was Chris Wallace’s nephew.

Well I reckon he still is.

Well considering the article quoted Georgia’s 247 site and doesn’t even mention Ole Miss as being in contention…

Word on the street is he has massive NIL deals in waiting with both McDonalds and the city of St Louis

Are we going to have to read his name on this board for his next 3 seasons at Newman (including this one)? I'd rather hear about bitcoin and electric cars, and I HATE those threads

If he chooses Ole Miss it won’t be about NIL money, Texas boosters are willing to set him up with 8 figures of NIL money to give them a huge splash into the SEC.

It is really disturbing the way sports media has jumped all over this kid. A junior.... junior!... in high school.

I'm trying to remember when the sports media latched onto a kid so early. Maybe Lebron? However I thought he was a senior when he went main stream.

He’s a Manning and he plays QB really well. The coverage is warranted.

Anyone thinking he’s going anywhere except ole miss is delusional. There is no way in hell they’ll let him go somewhere else. This is all a great media game they’re playing so when he “shockingly” picks ole miss, it’ll be a such a Cinderella story that shows how wonderful their school is. They’ll end up making a part deux of The Book of Manning dramatizing how difficult the decision was for him to make the choice.

Of course it won’t. But he’s going to get it regardless. OM ain’t gonna let a Manning turn them down without a sizeable financial investment being made on their behalf. At the end of the day he’s easily going to clear $10 million even if he totally sucks.

I wouldn't rule out Georgia.

The social media meltdown from the RebelBlackBearWannabeLandsharks will be absolutely must see. They temporarily disowned Archie & Olivia after Peyton went to Tennessee & only welcome them back because of Elijah. It would have been so awesome if we had the inter webs back in the spring of 1994.

Saban did some good recruiting last night. He told the Manning brothers on national TV, "I wish I was coaching at Alabama when Peyton and Eli Manning were recruits so you guys could have played for the Tide. I’d love to coach a member of the Manning family." He also said when Jalen Hurts was transferring that he advised him to go to the team with the most talent (Oklahoma) because it is very important for a QB to be surrounded by talent.

Kiffin's only follow on insta is Arch Manning.

Not sure what Texas, Clemson, Georgia, etc. are doing to set themselves apart.

Oh it’ll be very bad. There’s no doubt.

I caught that, as well. Saban doesn’t miss an opportunity to sell his program. That’s why he’s the GOAT. I just hope Kiffin learned some of that from him. It seems that he did. But Saban has the trophies and rings and first rounders to back it up.

Well, to be fair, Kiffin has a track record, too. How meaningful that is in recruiting is going to depend on what kind of kid you're recruiting.

Want to know why OM is not being mentioned on some sites as a landing spot for him? The family has been informed that Kiffin will not be there. OM fans better get prepared for not getting him.

Texas and Georgia are mentioned in reports I’ve seen as the front runners. What do they offer?

Texas has a coach in Sarkesian who apparently impressed Manning and family at his visit during the summer. Texas’ move to the SEC has to help. Austin as a location is a plus for a family like the Manning’s. As is the blue blood tradition of the Texas program. The question will be whether Texas gets it’s act together (o line weakness) quickly enough to project to the Manning’s that Arch can ride the rising tide there. Signs since the Arkansas debacle look good (for example, I am told that Texas’ now-starting qb leads the ncaa in qb rating. (Corral is 4th). Lotta reasons to argue “Texas isn’t back” and won’t be anytime soon, so I’m sure Manning’s are watching.

As for the UGA, there is likewise a lot of tradition to sell and elite status currently (assuming Georgia can score on good teams this year— Clemson game certainly raised questions about that). Athens is a huge plus too. And UGA being a traditional SEC power that has gotten close but not quite to the top is appealing, I’m sure. The pitch is “Arch, you are what puts us over the top” and that may well be true.

So does that mean Archie is on another search committee or does he pass the torch to Coop or Eli?

If I were Ole Miss, I would be more concerned with keeping Lebby than Kiffin.

Lebby is great. A phenomenal play caller who will likely be a good, up and coming HC somewhere this time next year. But he’s not the reason for this turnaround. And you know that. He has absolutely helped expedite it though, through his tutelage of Corral and his offense.

I still have the clarion ledger from when Peyton announce he was a Vol

I kept a bunch of of those back in the day for big wins and what not. I wish I could find it online. It was Peyton at the podium and Archie sitting next to him with his face in his hands. The CL even put an address on the front page where you can send mail to the Manning's!
