It's a great thing that volleyball is fantastic. Don't take it for granted. Let's hope the major men sports are better next year.

They said during the class B volleyball title game that Cook has three recruits coming in from the USA Junior National team

We are in the midst of greatness and I'm not taking it for granted like I did with football. That the machine is too great to fail.

Cook is getting up there in years and he won't coach forever. My only hope is that they have a plan in mind when he retires to keep it rolling. Maybe they try to bring back Dani Busboom Kelly who has major college coaching experience and has won at that level, and she's from Nebraska so maybe she'd want to come back someday.

We need to hire the best, most proven coach to replace Cook. Don't be like the Solich hire and limit to a former Husker player, simply to try to keep it rolling.

Kevin Hambly-Stanford and Dan Fisher-Pitt should be the top candidates. I'm sure the coach at Creighton will get a look too. If they have to have Husker ties, Chris Tamas at Illinois is pretty good too.
