John Cohen wasn't in favor of Gary Henderson.

So the big money guys trusted the AD

Exactly. And to add to that,, I can tell you exactly where John Cohen would have told any donor where to stick it if they even remotely tried to weigh in on the baseball hire at all. Which is exactly how it should have been.

I find that hard to believe. He may not be as wrapped around big donors' fingers as some ADs across the country, but nobody on a college campus tells a big donor "where to stick it".....

His *** would be in the unemployment line if he said anything of the sort. Don’t be stupid.

Sorry, our donors have zero say in who our former MSU baseball coach hires as the next MSU baseball coach. They may have some sway in the other sports, but none of them would try to challenge Cohen on a baseball hire. End of story.

If the big donors can't get the AD to let his kid walk on the baseball team, why do we think they have any say so over the coaching hire?

Do you think the big donors have a say in who we hire and fire for AD? I honestly don't know. My guess would be they have at least a little bit.

Don't think a donor could just tell Cohen to hire, but I don't think Cohen would tell them to stick it you know where if one did. I think he would be way more diplomatic with a big donor

You guys overestimate the power of big donors big time. All they can really do if they don’t like something is get mad and not give and it sometimes happens.
