"I'm pretty sure we'd rather have this game than a bowl game, to win this game. It means so much to our players, our coaches and our fans." - Jamar Chaney
You know this is a distortion of the facts.I believe if you look into the more recent history, i.e. since the series has moved back to campus, the numbers are more like 1 out of every 2 times. Matter of fact, I believe if you were to remove the Vaught years that you dominated and built the history that your fans cling to, the series is almost exactly even. This mightier than thought attitude is exactly what State fans despise about you and your school.AceD3 wrote:
MSU will beat OM, history says about 4 out of every 10 times. I don't expect that to change, particularly in Starkville. Even still, that performance in this game will always outperform you season and relative success, because of the mentality expressed by Dixon and others in the CL today ("we'd rather beat OM than go to a bowl, etc).
