Doesn't really make sense to me. By all or most measures we're a 8-9 seed, maybe a 7, maybe a 10-11 if we lose 3 in a row. You have 25 ranked teams and 19 receiving votes, so 44 total. You'd think we'd be in that 36th or so range about.

I think Jerry Carino said the Top 25 is like being in the mafia. Hard to get in and hard to get out. We've been forgotten about after our two losing streaks and maybe more importantly no wins against a marquee team that gets attention.

The most important poll for recruiting is the one at the end of the season. Win last two games, one in Big ten tournament and one in dance and we will be ranked for sure at the end of the season.

We definitely do need a solid win to get that attention, but don't think it can come unless we go 2 deep in the Big ten tournament and then win that game.

I've thought about this before but, to think we have 9 losses, but 5 have come against top 7 teams and a 6th has come against another ranked team. So we're 13-3 otherwise and like only 1 or 2 of those games were against non power conference teams.

They also beat Baylor who was undefeated so makes sense

that said..Rutgers get two more wins and then beat Indiana and Illinois again in B1G tourney..then we will end up in top 25 handidly

RU is 13-9, no they should not be ranked in the top 25. Pretty hard to make a case

RU is 2-6 vs ranked opponents

there are some beat reporters with obvious biases, unfortunately our guy Carino likes to play fair so we dont get that vote for two that other schools might get being out in the midwest or south
