I guess WVU's 21 point blowout win over Baylor wasn't enough to convince the pollsters to move WVU in front of them in the rankings.
Why would they move ahead of them? Have you seen the list of teams Baylor has beaten
I was only attempting to use some of the logic I've read on this forum for the last five weeks. Baylor has only 1 loss, while WVU has 2 losses. However, WVU won the head to head meeting, while Baylor has a much better overall resume. I was simply thinking about the arguments made over Ohio State getting selected for the CFP over Penn State. Penn State won the head to head, but didn't quite have the resume as the one loss team.
You'd have to be crazy or ignorant (or have an agenda) to have seen either PSU beat OSU, win their division and the conference title--and then claim OSU was the better team, or have seen WVU destroy Baylor and claim at this time Baylor is the better team.
In beating Baylor, WVU beat the team that beat those other teams. It matters.

Creighton is also the #7 team in the Coaches Poll, so we are essentially tied with them for now in both polls. I wouldn't have expected to move ahead of Baylor, you got to look at the body of work, not one game.
Then Fairmont State should be the national champs in football. I mean, they beat the team, that beat the team, that beat the team, that beat the team, that beat the team, that beat the team, that beat the team, that beat the team, that beat the team, that beat the team, that beat Clemson.
