She spent some time talking about Trumps tax returns and understating how he devalued his properties to lessen his tax burden, and this is fair game, but would she not be guilty of the same thing?

All of my children worked in food/beverage jobs in high school and college, I know for a fact that everyone understates their income and do not report 100% of their income. My son bartended in college at an upscale gastropub and he only reported about 60% of his income. By the way, they paid him less than $3.00 an hour but his effective hourly wage was closer to $20.00 on weekends and $50.00 an hour on game days.

Are we to believe that she was the only bartender in the USA that reported 100% of her income and did not pocket her tips?

On top of that my old company, the largest healthcare company in the world did the following:

  • My office in NJ employed 5000 people. It was built on a working farm. They continue to have a couple of cows and grow some crops (just enough) to make sure that they only pay agricultural instead of business taxes. On top of that, the building was certified green and they installed solar panels which got their net taxes down to almost 0. This is no different that what Trump was doing and we are lead to believe that this is some slimly deal only he would do.

Your kids should have had better role models. And publicly admitting to their tax frauds. Sad.

Yeah, comparing a person working on tips with a multimillionaire is the same. Great comparison.
Comparing a person who employees thousands to a person who wants millions more on government assistance is a "great comparison" too.

I would say that the business owners are the ones who set up the payroll and took the taxes from my kids paychecks, but you are right, they did not declare the additional tips on their tax returns, so yea, I am turning them in today. One of my son's employers in NJ (summer job, high school) paid him 100% under the table. They also just hosted Sen. Booker and have had multiple political figures do fund raisers there since the establishment is 12 miles from Trenton.

In that same note, are you saying that a sitting congresswoman is a tax fraud? Yes on no?

Who compared that? So you are fine with millionaires exploiting the tax laws over men and women working to survive? Ok.

Who wrote the laws? Democrats and Repub both have fingerprints on it. Those are the ones who wrote the laws, that's who you should be mad at.

Did I point fingers at Democrat or Republicans on this? Did I pick a side? You did that, not me.

Been there, done that. But thanks for the motivation. For some people, they work where they do because there is no other options at that time. They weren't lucky like Trump and have millions at birth to start their own enterprise.

Because hard work is the only difference between the poor and billionaires. This is the Ivanka Turmp school of microeconomics.

If she cheated on her taxes? I have no idea if she did or not though. Perhaps her parents raised her better?

But yes, cheating on your taxes is a tax fraud. It's kind of amazing that needs to be said. I'd recommend your kids should file Form 4137 with their tax returns.

Depends......it was your horrible comparison.

no, the exact same comparison, they are paying agriculture taxes when they grow some veggies and have 5 cows but 200 yards away, they have a building that houses 5000 employees. My office was on the same floor as the facilities director and he stated that was the only reason they built a major corporate office that is located over 50 miles from a major airport.

Thanks, so you are saying that a congresswomen who is trying to investigate another politician has a different set of rules based on income? OAC is pretty vocal on that she feels that working class should not pay taxes, and I am 100% certain that is true to her word in that regard.

I find it funny that OAC is taking heat from her own party on the Amazon deal, because they wanted to give a tax break to bring jobs to an area that in itself a lower class neighborhood.

What in the f are "agriculture taxes"?

The land that the office is located is zoned agricultural so they pay pennies on the dollar in property taxes as compared to being zoned as commercial or residential. It's a huge difference in taxes in NJ.

Of which AOC completely torched her on.....[laughing]
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., lashed out at an anonymous shutterbug who “creepily” snapped a picture of her at a restaurant with an aide who was feasting on a juicy burger -- an image that soon made the rounds on social media, as it was taken days after she questioned whether Americans needed to eat so much meat.

You sound like a union thug, only the working folks can cheat, steal and burn down a business because they have been disadvantaged. She was a college grad who earned enough money bartending to be able to launch a political campaign, and register twice as she signed up in the wrong congressional district before realizing it and had to re-register in the correct district. You can't make that stuff up.
