We weren’t even in before getting boat raced tonight according to Lunardi. Yet you still have people like Paul Jones acting like it’s no big deal to lose like this and who will constantly gripe about people not supporting the program as if there’s no reason for anyone to be frustrated.
We can still make it. Every game is winnable for us. We played awful tonight but that’s an outlier to me compared to the way we have played the last month. We can’t have nights where BOTH upperclassmen guards score a combined 3 points and have 10 turnovers (Carter and Weatherspoon). The only guard that attacked the rim all night was Stewart who’s a freshman. To beat a zone you have to penetrate the zone and attack the rim. We settled for jump shots and we had lazy passes and looked out of control when we did drive. Just a terrible final 24 minutes.
Nah. This game checked me out. I can’t get excited about a team that loses by 25 to a mediocre opponent with one good player. At this point I just don’t care anymore. Baseball starts this weekend. Bring it on.

At Ark, vs bama who killed us in Tuscaloosa, vs om who killed us tonight in Oxford.
T&M is pretty good and could easily beat us right now. This team is fragile mentally so no, losing all 7 or 8 is definitely doable for this group.
See I think we still win 5 remaining games but it kills me that some thought tonight was a guaranteed win. I gave us a 40% chance. This game scared me worse than any of the remaining games. They aren’t as ****** as some believe. A couple breaks they should be even with us with weaker talent. But while Davis is not as great as last year he does coach the game in this era unlike Howland who seems to coach like its 15 years ago.

The NIT doesn’t excite me nor 99% of the college basketball fan base.
Right now we have to to 5 -2 at minimum and win 2 in the SEC Tourney to have a chance.
Just don’t see it happen and like I said, going 0-7 wouldn’t surprise me in the least!

We were able to beat arky by what 10 not too long ago? They are really small, and it’s winnable even on the road. What’s the perception Of this team if we beat them Saturday? Still going to hate them and say they play with no effort.

Four of our last seven are on the road... we have two road wins all year and one of them was Coastal Carolina.

Arkansas hasn't been the same team since Isaiah Joe got hurt. 4-7 in the SEC now. Just can't win many games when you can only play 6-7 players every game. Just lost by 20+ to Tennessee.
I’ll bet we win the next two and look great doing it. Then we will lose the 3rd. Win two more and lose another one.
Done. We let 1 dude beat 5 last night. Imagine us playing a team with 2 guys that get hot? I’m not beating a dead horse here but I’ve seen this movie before. Same as the previous 4 years. Moments of greatness only to be followed by a shitburger that stays on tongue for a week.

not really true at all for the majority of our losses. In fact we are 2 points away from being pretty solidly in NCAAT right now. Some act like we have gotten blown out like this every single loss. Sure this was a terrible game, but it’s the only terrible game we have played in over a month. Since the Bama loss, we have been playing much better basketball up until last night.

I still do. Road wins are tough...they have been hot. Win at home, pick up a couple to three on the road, win a couple more in the tourney and we should get a 10.
We are an NIT level team. We simply dont have the guard play or coaching to rise to the challenge. Howland has already retired, he just hasnt told Cohen yet. Absolutely no excuse to look that incompetent against a defense that he has seen before, from that same team.
Easily. We were going to lose more games. We just have to pick up a win where we thought we might lose.

Nicks worse game has to be sopped up by Carter making shots. Both of those guys would be on the bench if it were my team.
id play molinar and Stewart until it worked. Very selfish and garbage game by what’s supposed to be a point guard.
Its not just this team but every team under Howland has been very very undisciplined with extraordinary low levels of basketball IQ. Poor in game adjustments. Poor play calling.....shot selection...poor fundamentals....and the worst, POOR POOR POOR offense against a press.

We will have to win the rest of the regular season games, maybe we can afford to lose to Arkansas, but every other win would need to be convincing, especially against OM.

This late in the year, no way are we to lose a 30 point conference game against our rival.....or against anyone in conference for that matter. Sure, we couldn’t buy a bucket....but there’s a thing called defense.
We seem to be able to cut it on for spurts...but rarely have we ever seen our offense and defense have a good game together.
Are these guys not conditioned? I don’t understand the joe cool mentality. We have no scrap.
Closet thing we have to a scrap player is Nick......and he’s more of a Toyota Camry, modified with big engine, fast 60 time.....but aftermarket brakes.

We are now #48 in NET, we’re 1-6 in Q1 matchups, and the Ark game is currently our last Q1 opportunity. People keep referencing conference records and number of Ws, but the bottom line is that we need to be impressing the committee, and last night combined with yet another Q1 loss isn’t very impressive.
It was just one game, but last night was a devastating blow for us, and if we want to have any prayer of an at large bid, I think Ark is a must win
