The MOST RECENT Rutgers team we have seen (second half of last night) could beat anyone in the B1G. Yes our first halves have been very bad, but the team HAS THE POTENTIAL to win any game. If they can be locked in for 40 minutes instead of 20.

last I checked were 6-5 in the Big Ten. Yes I know who we’ve played, who we’ve lost to, and who we have to play. But until we have 10 conference losses, the season is not over and this very Rutgers team has the chance to still do it IF they can get the mental part down to be tuned in for a whole game
Thread closer right there...

I think saying you don't see another win is just a terrible hot take.

Of course, they will win another game. They are quite capable of it.. probably more than one.

But we cannot predict when it will happen. Could be Saturday at 4PM tip... 17 hours from now we could be looking at a win.

We will be underdogs in every single game the rest of the regular season. And we can most definitely lose every one.

We will still be underdogs folks. And until proven otherwise we CAN (not will) most definitely lose every one. We are the most inconsistent team in the country.

I'm going with Sweet Pea's forecast... seeing a win today vs. Mich State. As far as the rest of the gauntlet games go...well...ugh...
In 83 hours.
I told your sorry thought would be dispelled by the very next game. If you didn’t watch the second half of Northwestern then you would have no clue. But you did and still couldn’t see what was happening. Before that half we were Jekyll and Hyde , so we would win some lose some. It is now 3 quarters and Paul has emerged after 2.5 years as the triple double point guard threat we have been waiting for. Watch out now as we go through the gauntlet.

Yes, goru7 nailed it. As of Tuesday night, Rutgers is a different team. Doesn't mean we are going to win them all but with Paul's amazing emergence, we are a more versatile and balanced offensive team. People will still have off nights but almost overnight we are a team that has more ways to attack you offensively. Additionally, if we bring the defensive intensity from Michigan State and Iowa we literally can beat anyone. In addition to Paul's emergence offensively, we may also see a different leadership dynamic with Paul emerging as more of a leader to drive that intensity.

really... "just turning it on" has happened how many times already this season?

but that's what made this harder to predict.. because the other "surprising" wins came after a whole stinker of a game and the NW lost was one bad half and one good half.

starting with the UMASS loss..

- UMASS loss
+ Clemson win
- ILLINOIS loss
+Purdue win
- Seton Hall loss
(cancellations and a few wins ending in +Michigan and +Nebraska wins)
- PSU loss
+MD win
+Iowa win
-Minn loss
-MD loss
=Nebraksa win (barely)
-NW loss (barely.. but a bad loss)
+MSU win

The whole season and even halves in that season seem to indicate that "just turning it on" is not only possible.. but has happened all season long.. but some of us are very concerned about how we seem to "just turn it off"... "just don't show up".

Probably the most unpredictable team in America.. if not the world.

WE'RE NUMBER ONE !... in unpredictability...

I fear a team that has a Jacob Young-type defender tormenting Paul... other than that I agree... When Geo had the ball.. Ron was moving without the ball.. looking for a pass in a spot where he could take a shot. And Paul and Cliff.. they got that vision thing going too... Rieber and Paul as well.. with Paul being on the receiving end too.. that was beautiful... TEAM OFFENSE was what we neded.. who knew? (all of us)
