ESPN was wrong. While the 1911 team did start 1-6, the 1926-27 team started 1-8 so the last time a UK teams started 1-6 was still 1926-27.

Unless I have a past life I'm unaware of, not me. If I had been, I'd have stories about how the 1911 team overcame a 1-6 start to rattle off four straight wins and finish 5-6. I'd also have Titanic stories as well. Alas, I have neither
