I'm worried about these boxes having some Trojan Horse virus installed in the firmware.
The computing power of the box and my internet connection being used to do something nefarious. Not necessarily negative to me.

That is what is keeping me from getting one.

Likely plug and play...my friends that do it these days use an app, not a box.

It's like watching anything else on a smart TV...you just load the app to the TV and then use it to access whatever you want to watch.

To be clear, the box itself is legal .. it's using it as everyone actually uses it that is illegal.

So I'm guessing it plays content being streamed by some other users, and not directly from the broadcaster or streaming service, as a workaround for buying subscriptions? Obviously that isn't legit, and I hope you're taking precautions as your ISP will ban you and you will be reported once discovered.
