I'm sure I did a decade ago, because I frequent that site and know who Tate Frazier is.
The irony about that article is it came about right when Cal had started slipping. Skal Labissiere was his first huge whiff (and that falls not just on him, but everyone who scouted him and had him #1 or 2 in his class), Duke had horned in on the elite of elite recruits, and Hamidou Diallo would end up part of the class that really showed the limitations of "revolving door, no experience, just try to out-talent everyone with Freshmen" philosophy.
I'd also add in that the game was changing, as the NBA saw its champs go from "have the best player, give him the ball, play good defense" teams like LeBron's Heat and Kobe's Lakers to "spread the floor and hit open threes and play good defense" teams like the 2014 Spurs and then the Warriors. That filtered into the college game, and Cal did not change, never really convinced that perimeter shooting was important or that his defensive philosophy needed tweaking when nearly everyone started spreading the floor and playing 5 out on offense.
