I have a bucket list item to see every MLB team in their home park and will be traveling to Minneapolis over Labor Day weekend to get #28 (just Milwaukee and Detroit remaining).

If you are trying to do this too - how many do you have left? Which ballparks?

I see you’ve saved the best for last!

in all seriousness that’s pretty cool. I’ve never known anybody to do this - it’s a pretty cool feat and you have to travel quite a bit to accomplish it. I’ve only been to games at 4 stadiums, Turner Field, Suntrust field, Coors field and Wrigley.

So far, what’s your least favorite stadium?
Your most favorite?

I have a friend who will never realize how lucky he is to have a wife that makes $400-500K a year.

He's been to every MLB park.

He called me once and had an extra ticket to the game in Seattle and wanted to know if I wanted to go. I asked for trip details to know how long I would need to take off work and how much the plane tickets were. He was driving and planned on being gone for 16 days. 😁

I had to politely decline since I didn't have the PTO to take.

Good luck, that's a nice bucket list item.

For clarification, when you say 30, are you just talking the stadium in which the team was playing when you went? Or would you have to circle back to Atlanta if you had been to Fulton-County Stadium but not either of the next 2 stadia there?

40 years ago this week, I ventured out on my post-bar exam trip. Caught games in KC, StL, Comiskey, Wrigley, Tiger Stadium, Fenway, and Baltimore's Memorial Stadium. Over the years, have also been to Oakland, Turner in ATL, 2 of the Rangers stadia, Shea, and both Jarry Park and Olympic in Montreal. Living in Houston, have probably been to over 100 games in both the Dome and our current park. So I guess that's 13 out of 30.

I'm trying to hit them all. I have been to 12 so far, 15 if you count old Yankee Stadium, RFK, and Candlestick Park. I just hit Texas this June, nice park, Texas Live is awesome. Detroit was last summer. The park was excellent and the City was a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed Detroit, although I did stay in the downtown area and didn't venture out of it. So far Camden Yards is probably my favorite park, I have probably been there 25 times. Pittsburgh has the best view from the seats and is a great park with a terrible team. Next season I am thinking I'll hit St. Louis and KC. When I retire in 2 years its gonna be on!

This was a major bucket list item for my husband and me; sadly he kicked that bucket when we were about 1/2 through. The last two parks we went to were AT&T (Orioles v. Giants) and O.co (A's v. Red Sox), having no idea that he would be gone in just a few short months. I would love to finish the list in his honor/memory but I am not sure that is going to happen. Enjoy every inning, every beer, silly between-inning game, pretzel, you name it - and raise one for Mr. Vitoria.

Camden was our fave - big O's fans from way back - even saw them once at Memorial Stadium. We would pick a weekend every year and go to a Saturday night game and then Sunday afternoon, and drive back to NC after the Sunday game. Durham Bulls park was designed by the same architect as Camden Yards.

i completed this mission a few years ago. My first game was in Yankee Stadium in 1965 with my father. I saw Mickey Mantle hit a home run. That’s been my favorite. Many teams have built new stadiums since I visited. I’ve seen the Senators/Rangers in three different ballparks. I’m now trying to visit as many minor league ballparks as possible.

There is a Stadium Chasers group on Facebook dedicated to this feat.

Dedicated to the MLB stadia or the MiLB stadia? Or both?

I haven't even watched TV games at that many stadiums. I was thinking there's no way Rikster is just about to turn 30. Good luck on knocking the last 2 off your list.

So my goal is to see a game in every MLB city to “meet the goal,” but then I go back to the new parks later when I can (but not obsess over it). So I have been to 3 Atlanta parks for instance. At some point I need to “re-do” Cincinnati, Texas and the A’s, but I will still call the chase “complete“ after hitting Detroit and Milwaukee

Defunct Parks I have been to are Fulton County and Turner Field in ATL, Riverfront in Cincy, RFK, Three Rivers, Memorial Coliseum, Candlestick, Ballpark at Arlington, Oakland and Veterans stadium in Philly. But I have also been to the new parks for all but Texas and Cincy (and Oakland but I don’t care to go to Sacramento this season).

So the current ones that kind of suck IMO are Tampa and the White Sox. Oakland was in that group but that park isn’t active any longer

The 2 best IMO are Pittsburgh and SF, though Camden Yards still holds up (I see a couple games there every season). I like more than I don’t tbh

When you go to KC be sure to hit the Negro Leagues Museum

I went to Michigan for law school 1998 and got to see last month of old Tiger Stadium...for five bucks I could sit/stand on first base dugout pre-game and talked to Jeter and Pudge and every All Star that came through! Awesome except for the burnt cars lining the street out front

I met Pudge on my Texas trip this June. He was in the bar at the Loews hotel next to the stadium. He was in town for Elvis Andrus' induction into the Rangers Hall of Fame. Super nice guy, took time to talk to us and get a couple of pictures. I was impressed.

Definitely a bucket list item for me. I'm able to hit some rando's during business trips, but here's my list: ATL (Braves fan), Boston, Baltimore, Chicago, Colorado, Arizona. Obviously a long way to go and I expect I'll knock out the majority if/when I can get to retirement in about 20 years.

I vacationed in Appleton WI for a few weeks in the late 1980's. Went to a Milwaukee Brewers game and it was a lot of fun.

Not sure going to 'all the stadiums' is necessarily a goal, but going to ones I haven't been to is (so perhaps that is the ultimate goal ha). I'm only 40 so I've got time. I've been to games at the following team's home stadiums (many in the last 10 years so I think they are all current):

Mets (favorite team)
Braves
Phillies
Nats

Cubs (favorite stadium)
Brewers
Pirates
Cardinals

Dbacks
Rockies

Orioles
Red Sox
Yankees
Blue Jays

White Sox
Twins

Rangers

^I honestly thought Wrigley was a little overrated. Fenway is a better historical park IMO

Ha, I feel the opposite. Seat location plays a huge role in old stadiums like that. Went to Fenway a couple times, and just felt like it was very hard to move around, didn't have that experience at Wrigley.

MisterSax1979 competed the major league ballpark goal a few years ago. As a school band director he had the summers off which allowed him the time to do this.

His dad worked on the railroad. So he was also into trains. He would fly to a place like Kansas City for the Royals and then take a train to St. Louis to see the Cards. He would then fly home from there. He would see two stadiums / home teams on each trip.

It took him quite awhile because they keep building new stadiums. But he's all up-to-date now.

I loved Fenway - pointless late season game on a dreary Sunday afternoon and the place was packed anyway. People hit the liquid concessions during an hour-long rain delay and came back happy and just as enthusiastic as they were at the start of the game. I found Wrigley to be kind of "meh", even on a nice weekend afternoon.

If you go see the Pirates in Pittsburgh, try to make the detour to see the old wall segment from Forbes Field, around U Pittsburgh, and the preserved home plate protected in its original position, now inside a campus building.
