Yes. I get its a generational thing and I am an old fart. I find them annoying and narcissistic.

I get that for many of the kids this is the time in their lives when they will be the center of attention. They may get to a school and never be heard from again. So its their choice. I just find it tacky. I also find the hats in a table thing dumb. Most will disagree. Just my opinion.

Pretty much my feelings too. I don't care for them-even if they go our way, but I also realize that social media is just so pervasive for this generation in a way that those of us from an older generation just don't get.

You guys realize the kids are not the ones filming and doing the edits and releasing them...it is adults...the adults are the ones asking these kids to do the videos.

I'm old, but I like them. I think it's fun for the kids and adds some excitement to the announcement. I also enjoy twitter and self propelled mowers.

Gender reveal videos are a whole new level of abomination.

I saw a real life gender reveal kinda thang the other night...went to my girlfriends apt with some wine, thinking it was going to be a quiet romantic fun evening, and walked in, and to my surprise there were a couple of transgenders there!! Ya think she woulda told me they were going to be there, I mean, I would have. That was a very interesting evening to say the least...

I don’t really care either way, it’s for them. They are frustrating, especially when it essentially makes it like the Bachelor.

Good on them for being weirdly relevant to middle aged men.

Eh, gender reveals I don't mind as long as they aren't drawn out. We did one we found out we were having a son involving a rifle, some tannerite, and some chalk. It was fun for our family and friends.

I put a video, with identifying information removed, on Youtube for fun. One thing not in the video, when we tested it we used a fresh log, but when we did it for real it was an old dry log. Bad idea, as it blew apart and a wood chunk went between my and my brother in law and nailed the shed behind us. Lesson learned with no injuries!

Haha, thanks. Figured you'd enjoy it based on your response. Funny thing is, it was actually my wife's idea and she's not really into firearms or shooting, but as soon as she mentioned it I was all in.

It is no different than a family posting a wedding video online. To many families, especially from poorer backgrounds, the announcement video is a very special day. A true day of success where a student athlete has the prospect of a full scholarship to a major university. Imagine growing up in a family where there wasn't a single college grad and all of a sudden one kid has their entire school paid for...and amazing day. For a kid like Wandale this is change the trajectory of his entire family, as it would all of ours.
