Think I paid $38-$40. Pretty damn smooth for 112.8 proof bourbon. It can get you/me in trouble but not tonight I only had one strong pour left in the bottle

Not knockin blue moon but not better. Maybe better on a hot day tailgating but not on a Thursday night at least not to me.

WT rare is solid. My cabinet has some "good" stuff like Crown XO and Blanton's. By far the best drinking spirit in my cabinet is Jameson Caskmates. Neat or rocks, it's great. Another good bottle that gives you bang for your buck is Dickel Barrell Select. Haven't been able to find it lately but it's far far better than a gentleman jack or single barrel beam.

I've been toying around with an allocated bottle of Evan Williams "Barrel Proof" bourbon. It comes out very hot at 140 proof. I tried a few glasses at 140 (how the distillery master) would sample it, not for me. Once you proof it down to about 110, it's as smooth and flavorful as any high end bourbon I've had.

ALERT...ALERT...ALERT

Boys be on the look out for some beers from 1817 brewery out of Okolona/Amory,
I had their 1817 IPA tonight at the blue canoe in Tupelo and it was absolutly awesome!

Talked to one of the owners (only 2 guys work the brewery at the moment) they have ambition of expanding their distribution area significantly over the next year. He said currently they are brewing 60 gallons a day of various brews.

Rellocating their operation to Tupelo as soon as the facility is completed. Only place to purchase their beers currently is in Tupelo.

I don't remember all of their selections but the IPA and Hefe were as good as any and better than most, amazing to have such good beer brewed locally by 2 young guys!

I have no respect for men that put fruit in beer or drink strawberry beer.
